"We can make sure that those weapons of war, that I carried in war, is the only
place where those weapons are at."

I foolishly assumed he wasn't actually referring to M16s or M4s.

During a discussion on Russian state TV, the Major-General called on
Putin to correct a "historical mistake" made by Lenin and Stalin.

He said the Kremlin should seize control of Narva in Estonia, Klaipeda in
Lithuania and Daugavpils in Latvia.

After Ukraine, the Kremlin's next targets could be Moldova and the Baltic
countries, Belgian army chief Michel Hofman has warned.

Russia has "already shown that they have the will to attack a neighbor,"
Hofman told Belgian news outlet VRT while visiting Belgian soldiers
stationed in Romania. Russian President Vladimir Putin's language "is
always ambiguous. It is absolutely possible that they will also have
other ideas later. Either in the south in Moldova or the Baltic states,"
he said.

Are you being deliberately obtuse? Who else are they going to buy Bradlies
from? Patriot ammo? Look at the list of weapons they're using. Most of them
are ours. And what doesn't come back here, gets spent in Europe. Whining about
that is like whining that your brother just got a raise.

>> into American banks and ends up back here anyway.

Spouting bullshit still? I guess you're a Russky lover too. You sure seem,
like Trump, to not give a shit how much land Putin steals.

He's already lost this war. We're just waiting for the twitching to stop.

>If they were buying NEW.. maybe, but somehow I bet the overwhelming bulk of

The weapons we're sending have mostly been obsolete ones scheduled for
decommissioning soon. Others were new and therefore created work for Americans.

What they buy used has to be replaced. The F-16s Ukraine is getting are being
replaced with F-35s (built in the USA) by the donor nations. Poland is buying
enormous quantities of new US weaponry to replace the old Soviet stocks they've
been giving Ukraine. And Poland isn't the only country doing it. Every nation
on earth donating or selling US made 'previously owned' weapons is having to
replace them with NEW US made weapons. Further, military spending is sharply up
across Europe and we are the #1 arms dealer. Even India is abandoning Russia's
arms market and buying from us.

>> How long do you think it would take Iran to own Israel if we cut them off?

>Probably pretty long.. the Israel, might just have to stop playing softball

Not more than a five years, tops. Without unconditional US backing, Israel
would vanish like a puff of smoke in the breeze.

>
>Then let Europe pay for it.. I mean they are the ones that benefit from it.
>Why should we have to foot the bill?

LOL! No nation, no matter how powerful, can stand without allies. European
security *is* US security. We are inextricably linked. I remind you of what
Republicans taught us within living memory: better to fight them over there
than over here.

>We are now one of the most indebted nations in the world given our national
>debt to GDP ratio.

Complain to the GOP. The Democrats have done their best to mitigate against
Republicans throwing our treasure away with both hands.

Don't bother refuting this. It's fact and has been proven to you time and time
again.

>So I ask, when does this endless borrowing and mounting debt become an issue
>that needs to be addressed?

I don't know. Why don't you ask the GOP?

>That's going to do far more harm than anything Putin could do.

Your hypocrisy is noted. That's money we wouldn't be spending if it weren't for
Putin.

How about this plan for deficit reduction?

Let's roll the tax code back to 1999. Revenues will go up and working people
will get a tax cut that they'll spend into economic growth.

Section 1.

[...] No state shall make or enforce any law which shall
abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the

Dobbs rewrites this, it is invalid precedent. States are

How exactly are you suggesting that I am circumventing the Constitution?
How exactly are you suggesting that Trump could "gut our freedoms"?
How would that somehow give me "extra" whatever?

Please feel free to elaborate.

Meanwhile Biden and Kamala refuse to enforce federal law against illegal
border entry. They encourage people to ignore our laws. Then redirect public
funds to support such criminals in their crimes.

Is that the sort of Constitutional circumvention you might be suggesting?

That you ignore it, tells us all we need to know about you.

If it's wrong, then both were wrong. You can't have it both ways.

Says the person who is intentionally and deliberately obtuse on a regular
basis.

Armored personal carriers are available from any number of sources.. and you
make my point for me.. why should we pay them to do so?
After all, with housing issues, over taxation, increasing poverty, etc seems
to me that money would be better spent on our OWN needs, or <gasp> left in
the hands of the people to use for their own wants and needs.

Is the ammo painted red, white and blue?

Actually most of them are Russian, we paid to give them some of ours, but
again what benefit is that to the American taxpayer?

> And what doesn't come back here, gets spent in Europe.

So much for the money coming back to America then....

If my bother got a raise cool.. but if you took the money I earned in order
to give it to my brother... then I think even you could see the problem with
that.

Depends, when your enlistment is up.. you don't need any special permission.

Now the command CAN hold you over if needed, but that's a different issue,
and usually requires that you be actively deployed or in the immediate
process of deploying.. not some vague 'well we might be deployed sometime in
the future'.

Actually almost happened to me... as Desert Shield was ramping to Desert
Storm.. Command said I might no be able to be discharged based on need. I
say "Ok". Turned out I was still discharged on time, but I didn't HAVE to
ask.. rather the discharge was automatic UNLESS countermanded by Command.

Did Command countermand his discharge? No. Then it wasn't an issue.

I would note that by Jones' standards.. so was Joe Biden and his magical
asthma that managed to not keep him from regular and strenuous activities. \

Further I would make the observation that anyone with half a brain cell was
trying to avoid that cluster fuck called the Vietnam Conflict, as it was
never officially a war under the Constitution.. a fact that caused no end of
problems for vets from that action having their claims denied because it
wasn't an official war, and as such weren't allowed the services provided to
veterans of war. Of course, eventually government provided the benefits as
if it were a war much much too late for many of those vets.
