Reminds me of an early black-n-white GIF we called "Dual Floppies".

Lucky Strike Means Fine Tobacco

I'm using openSUSE Leap, now.

I purchased Red Hat 9 on CD-ROM, when I first tried installing Linux,
in 2003. Didn't have a bad experience, I was able to get my DSL modem
connected with PPPoE, and everything was good enough. But at the
time, I was more dependent on Winblows features, I guess. Today, with
openSUSE, I find some barriers but they don't really matter much, I
can do my stuff with it, and I have no impetus to replace it with
another distro.

So they would have you believe but we knew better.

https://kimsloans.wordpress.com/2017/12/17/lsmft-means/

The internet has let me down and I can't find a clip of the tobacco
auctioneer's spiel that ended with "Sold! American!" My parents got
together with my aunt and uncle about every Saturday night. Much beer
(men) and Four Roses (women) flowed and by the time The Hit Parade cames
on comments about the relative merits of Dorothy Collins and Giselle
Mackenzie could get heated.

I started smoking late, in my '20s, when I was stressed out for various
reasons. I was in the break room at a plant in Ontario when someone
offered my an Export. There was an Export A variant that was filtered but
these weren't. Back in the states I preferred Luckies although a Camel
would do in a pinch. In desperate straights one of my girl friend's Mores
would do. The brand was aimed at women, but was 120 mm long with a dark
brown wrapper and might have been one of the deadlier filters on the
market.

One day I was at work and my lead girl (PC translation: female head
technician) asked me for a cigarette. I gave her the pack and told her to
keep them and that was it. I didn't have a problem with nicotine
withdrawal only the situational habits. Everybody smoked everywhere. Stop
to talk to someone in the shop and you lit up, get a cup of coffee, light
up. and so forth.

It was a good time to quit. iirc a pack of Luckies from a machine was 35
cents and you weren't a social pariah. Even with inflation I can't believe
what a pack costs today.

I guess Linux took the idea of the Unix package manager and didn't
monetize it. SMH.

The movie was a comedy. Curtis figures out he was gay after 6 wives and 6
kids and criticizing 'Brokeback Mountain'? I'll admit when I re-watched
'The Vikings' in later years I thought the character he played was a
little strange. Perhaps your gaydar works better than mine. I didn't even
know one of my nephews was gay until my cousin clued me in.

Ah, Garcia y Vega Coronas... My mentor smoked them so I followed suit at
times. At least they were better than Wolfe's Rum Soaked Crooks or the
Parodi cat turds the mechanical engineer smoked.

I tried pipes too but they always smelled better when somebody else was
smoking them.

In his biography "American Prince" he talks about having to avoid powerful
and predatory homosexual men in Hollywood. Apparently, besides the six
marriages and six kids, he had affairs with many women. So he certainly
wasn't "completely gay."

Making that assumption on the basis of one comedy doesn't hold water.
Lemmon also was in drag for most of the movie. If anything Curtis had a
wider range of roles in his career than Lemmon who often would up as 'Mr.
Nice Guy who everybody walks on' like in 'The Apartment'.

I stand corrected, I was probably thinking of Rock Hudson.
