As usual. The GOP doesn't care about America, it only cares about itself.

Trump: "I don't care about you, I just want your vote. I don't care."

--
Although Trump is not among Project 2025'- 34 authors, more than half are appointees
and staff from his time as president; the words "Trump" and "Trump
Administration" appear 300 times in its pages. At least 140 former Trump
officials are involved in Project 2025, according to a CNN tally. It’s
reasonable to expect that a second Trump presidency would follow many of
the project’s recommendations.

Two more reasons to not vote for Trump in 28 days.

36) When none of the previous schemes worked, Trump and
his allies produced fake electoral votes cast by fake electors
in multiple swing states.

37) Trump tried to bully Vice President Pence into obstructing
the certification of the election.
"If Mike Pence does the right thing, we win the election."

How about Biden / Harris take some of the money he "found" for student
loan forgiveness and put it in FEMA?

They always find money when they want to. Maybe stop spending it on
illegals?

There wasn't any money to be spent on student loan forgiveness. It was going to
be a write-off of the loans.

Why do you work so hard at being stupid?

You borrow, YOU pay back.

It's that simple.

An Eagan man accused of fatally beating his girlfriend’s foster child after having to change the boy’s diaper was sentenced Tuesday to 25 years in prison.

Charles Wayne Homich, 28, was sentenced by Dakota County District Judge Christopher Lehmann in connection with the 2017 death of 3-year-old Zayden Lawson. Zayden was a foster child in the care of Homich’s girlfriend, Zeporia Dionn Fortenberry of Eagan.

A Dakota County grand jury in December indicted Homich on four counts of first-degree murder and two counts second-degree murder. In April, he pleaded guilty to one count of second-degree murder (commission of a felony-malicious punishment of a child).

“We are pleased to have brought Charles Homich to justice in connection with this tragic case that claimed the life of this little boy,” Dakota County Attorney James Backstrom said in a statement Tuesday.

In June, Fortenberry, 32, pleaded guilty to second-degree manslaughter and was sentenced to three years and five months in prison.

On the afternoon of June 7, 2017, police officers and paramedics responded to a report of an unresponsive child at the Eagan townhome that Homich and Fortenberry shared with Fortenberry’s two biological children and her two foster children — Lawson and his younger brother.

First responders found Lawson lying on his back on the living room floor, cold to the touch and without a pulse, according to court documents. Lawson was taken to Children’s Hospital in St. Paul, where he was pronounced dead.

An autopsy the next day revealed evidence of blunt-force trauma injuries.

Fortenberry’s babysitter, who is identified in the charges as “LB,” told investigators that Fortenberry regularly asked LB to care for the kids while she was at work because “she did not trust Homich with Lawson,” and that “Homich would ‘lose his cool’ if he had to change Lawson’s dirty diaper,” according to the criminal complaint against Homich.

A friend and co-worker of Homich’s, identified in court documents as “DW,” told police that — prior to Lawson’s death — Homich said he had “punched the f– out of Zayden in his stomach,” the complaint said.

Investigators also searched the mobile phones of Fortenberry and Homich, and found a series of text messages they exchanged three days before Lawson’s death, according to a criminal complaint against Fortenberry. The conversation begins with Homich telling Fortenberry that Lawson had urinated in his diaper, to which Fortenberry allegedly replied: “O wow.. I’m so sick of him did u whoop his a-? I just don’t know what else to do with that kid.”

Homich then texted that he “Beat the s– out of them feet,” the complaint said.
“Good.. lil f—,” Fortenberry replied, according to the complaint.

Homich told investigators that he changed Lawson’s soiled diaper the night before the boy died, according to the complaint.

Jamal Adan (Dakota County Jail)

Two men have been charged with murder in connection to a teenager’s overdose death last year.

The Dakota County Attorney’s Office says 29-year-old Jamal Ahmed Adan, of Burnsville, and 27-year-old Sadiq Aden Isack, of Bloomington, are each charged with third-degree murder and third-degree controlled substance crime in connection to 16-year-old Hunter Carlson’s death.

Eagan police were called to a home on the morning of Jan. 28, 2021, after Carlson’s mother found him unresponsive in his bed. Efforts to resuscitate Carlson were unsuccessful and he was pronounced dead.

Police learned that Carlson had been experimenting with Percocet and had ingested Percocet with a teenage neighbor the night before.

Investigators found that the neighbor had bought the Percocet from Adan and Isack, as he had been for a month or two.

Carlson’s death was ruled as a result of positional asphyxia complicating acute fentanyl toxicity, and a pill fragment was found in the room.

According to the criminal complaint, officers found Adan, Isack and a third male in a Burnsville motel room on Feb. 13, 2021. Inside the motel, officers also found a baggie of blue pills similar to the fragment found in Carlson’s room. Additionally, phone records showed messages between Isack, Adan and the neighbor teen.

When the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension tested the pills found in the motel room and the fragment found in Carlson’s room, they both tested positive for fentanyl.

Authorities say Adan was arrested Monday and made his first court appearance Tuesday morning, where his bail was set at $300,000 without conditions or $250,000 with conditions. His next hearing is scheduled for May 18.

Authorities are still searching for Isack.

Additionally, the attorney’s office says prosecutors tried to have the neighbor teen certified as an adult in connection to Carlson’s death. However, that was denied by the court and the teen instead pleaded guilty to third-degree murder on Jan. 6 as an extended juvenile jurisdiction, where he was placed on juvenile probation until he is 21. The teen will avoid a seven-year (86-month) prison sentence as long as he completes his juvenile sentence.

Jamal Adan (Dakota County Jail)

Court records show a Burnsville man who was arrested in connection to the death of an Eagan teen who overdosed has now pleaded guilty to one of the charges filed against him.

According to the court register, Jamal Adan, 30, entered a guilty plea to one count of third-degree aiding and abetting murder by selling, giving or distributing a controlled substance during a hearing on February 15 as part of a plea agreement.

Previously, Adan had a jury trial scheduled to begin on Monday, April 3. A sentencing hearing has now been scheduled for the morning of May 15.

Adan had also been charged with third-degree aiding and abetting for selling a controlled substance.

As previously reported by 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS, Adan, as well as Sadiq Aden Isack, were each charged in connection to the death of 16-year-old Hunter Carlson.

The attorney’s office says prosecutors tried to have the neighbor teen certified as an adult in connection to Carlson’s death.

Authorities have been searching for Isack.

It's still spending in much the same way that tax cuts can be classified as
spending.

I survived Milton and power was out almost two days.

Two more reasons to not vote for Trump in 26 days.

40) Knowing the crowd had deadly weapons, he ordered them
to go to the Capitol and "Fight like hell!"

41) Trump betrayed his oath to defend the nation by doing nothing
to stop the January 6th violence. Instead, according to witness
testimony, he sat and watched TV for hours!

Maleek Jabril Conley / Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office
By Crime Watch MN, March 5, 2024

An arrest has been made in last December’s double shooting murder at a Dinkytown smoke shop, and charges allege both the shooter and the deceased parties had rival gang ties.

Maleek Jabril Conley, 25, of south Minneapolis, Minn., was taken into custody late Monday by the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office and is currently being held on $2 million bail.

Conley is charged with two counts of second-degree murder and two counts of attempted second-degree murder in the Dec. 3, 2023 shooting adjacent to the University of Minnesota Twin Cities campus.

Charges filed in Hennepin County District Court describe that a verbal and physical altercation began inside the shop located at 403 14th Avenue Southeast after 2 a.m. involving a group of males.

Store employees attempted to break up the fight, but Conley entered the store as the altercation was happening and began firing shots directly at the heads of two males who were both shot multiple times in their heads and necks.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner determined that one of the decedents was shot ten times in the head and neck, and the other was shot four times in the head, shoulder, upper right arm, and abdomen.

Another person who was a store employee was shot in the buttocks, and a fourth person was shot at twice, but the bullets missed and he was not injured.

During the gunfire, a store employee pressed a panic button which locked the gunman and the others in the store. When the gunman realized that he was locked inside the store, he shot the glass out of the door and crawled out of the door’s metal frame. He was followed by four other males.

The complaint states that Conley fled the store with a co-defendant named in the complaint as Taynard Godsey and three other males identified with only initials, one of whom police identified as Conley’s brother. The complaint says that all five are known associates of a south Minneapolis gang known as the “Crazi Boyz.”

The two decedents were known to be associates of the Lowz criminal street gang in north Minneapolis and it’s believed that the murders stem from gang-related rivalries, the complaint said.

The stolen Kia that Conley and the four others fled in following the shooting was later found by police at Godsey’s apartment residence on the 2400 block of Elliot Avenue South. Video surveillance obtained by police showed all five subjects exit the vehicle and enter the building within 15 minutes of the shooting. A search warrant was eventually executed on the apartment after the defendants were gone, and clothing matching that worn by Conley during the shooting was found on site.

Investigators were able to link fingerprint forensic evidence left behind at the store to Conley. Investigators also recovered 9mm casings from the shooting scene and determined that at least 24 rounds had been fired inside the store.

Court records show Conley made his first court appearance on the charges Tuesday afternoon (today) and applied for a public defender.

Co-defendant Godsey does not appear to be in local custody, and the complaint against Conley doesn’t reference what charges Godsey or the other three subjects may face.

Crime Watch will continue to follow developments in the case.

Rickey Donnel Webster (Anoka County Jail)
By Crime Watch MN, Sept. 30, 2022, updated

A homeless man who should have been in prison on a prior conviction is now charged with nearly killing a Coon Rapids woman by slitting her throat as she showered.

Rickey Donnel Webster, 27, has been charged with first-, second- and fourth-degree assault in Anoka County Court following the Wednesday attack.

Charges say Coon Rapids, Minn., police responded Wednesday on a report of an assault. The 911 caller said a woman had shown up at his door with a large cut to her neck and bleeding profusely.

Police arrived to find the victim who appeared to be in shock from blood loss. The victim was able to tell police that a man named “Rickey” had entered her bathroom while she was in the shower and cut her neck with a large knife.

The victim was rushed to the hospital where she was intubated and underwent emergency surgery. The charging document says that the extent of the victim’s injury created “a high probability of death.”

The officer was able to locate Webster nearby. Charges say Webster was acting very erratically and was requesting medical attention. Webster was brought to the hospital where he was restrained. While the officer was restraining him, Webster thrashed his head and bit the officer’s left ring finger, causing the nail to crack.

Webster, who has no permanent address, according to the jail booking record, should have been in prison at the time of the assault.

Webster was convicted last November on a felony drug count in Scott County and was sentenced to 17 months in prison. However, Judge Caroline H. Lennon stayed the prison sentence and instead placed Webster on probation for three years.

Webster has a history of felony convictions including third-degree burglary (was converted to a misdemeanor), criminal vehicular operation involving substantial bodily harm while a controlled substance [is present in the body], and auto theft. Other convictions include gross misdemeanors on DWI and theft, and misdemeanor obstructing the legal process.

Webster made his first court appearance on the new charge on Friday and was granted a public defender. Webster remains in custody on $600,000 bail.
