Hi folks;

I think it would help if we were either consulted or if we worked for such
organizations. I've found that, as Brian noted, sighted folks just don't
think it through. We also have to remember to tell them things since our
problems aren't obvious to them. For example, one woman wondered why it was
so hard for me to negotiate her wooden poarch and steps. I had to tell her,
"I can't tell what's a step and what's a crack." Then she got it.

Sincerely,

Bruce Atchison - author of Deliverance from Jericho (Six Years in a Blind
School) and When a Man Loves a Rabbit ((Learning and Living With Bunnies).

One thing that constantly irritates me is the inability of companies to talk
to their own departments.
So, for example, I'll get bank statements in audio, but offers from them of
services or letters about the account arrive in print with the immortal
words PRINTED on the bottom, so I gather.

If you have difficulty in reading this, it can be made available in large
print, audio or Braille... Like dah? OK you f*cking brain dead Oxygen
wasters, talk to your own department and get it bloody right!

Brian
