I use Sumatra too but only in a limited way: I view pdf that is output
from running LaTeX. The advantage is that Sumatra, unlike Adobe, does
not lock the file when it is open and checks to see if it has been
changed behind its back. This makes it much easier to develop documents
using the TeX related tools. On the other hand, Adobe offers tons of
useful, though heavy handed, capabilities that are totally missing in
Sumatra.

Sumatra ???

There is a free version of the Adobe pdf viewer so it's easy enough to
download play. And in answer to your specific question: almost everything.
The use of Sumatra with TeX development tools is simply to preview local
areas where you are doing your editing. After recompiling your document
- really a quick operation on anything near a modern computer - Sumatra
notices the change when you go back to it and tries to bring the view to
the "same page" you were at before. [With Adobe, you must close their
pdf viewer before recompiling because it has locked a file.] And, for
me, this is the one and only real advantage to Sumatra. The fact that it
is lite weight, etc., makes little or no difference on a today computer.
The downside to Adobe for me is that they have buried links to
for-additional-pay capabilities that are annoying to navigate around.

The docs of the latest version mention "CmdFavoriteToggle", but without
any shortcut assigned. So it should be possible to assign a custom shortcut.

I also like the smooth integration of Sumatra into working with LaTeX.
And I like the compact view of the PDF bookmarks. Nevertheless Adobe
Acrobat Reader is my default PDF viewer for other documents.

For some time I missed the feature of rotating a page in Sumatra. But
the current version now has that.

But from time to time I like to zoom to a custom area by drawing a
rectangle. This seems to be possible with Adobe, but not with Sumatra.

Then with Adobe I quite often use the button to return to the previous
view. That is quite handy when you jump to a page by a link and want to
return to the page you were before.

I didn't know that capability existed and I've missed it dearly. Strange
that I first hear about in this group. Thanks!
