When I was young and strong I counted three, men, women

One of my acquaintances was subjected to electro-shock therapy
to dissuade her of her fondness for female attire. No effect.

Transgender people have been written of through-out history
sometimes in positions of trust and prominence other times
as amusements for the elite.

If you can get it ... LXDE or XFCE tuned releases. Straight
up, functional, no BS, aesthetic.

Last look at Fedora ... the LXDE release really was NOT ready
for prime time. Lots of stuff didn't work right. That was maybe
eight months ago so things MAY have improved.

As for RHEL/Centos ... ummm ... just ain't been the same since
IBM took over ..... Centos, now you're their unpaid beta-tester.
Alas formerly-great OpenSUSE has also been impacted.

That's what happens with a smaller community. Fortunately for me, I tend
to work in linux only environments, and don't use smb at home either, so
personally that is not a problem. =)

What happened? I use bookworm on my kodi tv computer and haven't noticed
anything out of the ordinary. On the other hand, it is not my work
platform, so I haven't looked that closely.

Well why not?
A GUI is essentially if you are doing any sort of graphical work, even
typesetting needs some kind of WYSIWG interface.

I need a GUI to watch videos, edit pictures, create 3D models, and
generate things like PCBs and printable plastic objects.,

A simple windows style interface is perfectly reasonable.

The point is the to make it simple, configurable and reliable so its a
tool, not an imposition.

Lunduke is a very freedom-minded individual to a point that he has a Gab
account and even agreed to return to the platform despite its obvious
hatred of Jews. I told him that same as the constant Polish jokes, he'll
start to find the Jewish stuff funny after a while if he doesn't take it
too seriously. Gab clearly respects freedom a lot more than Mastodon or
X does, so you have to work with the "Nazis" there and get your own dose
of freedom.

No, not at all. Try TeX / LaTeX or Context. No GUI necessary.

I agree wholeheartedly. This is why my wife and I discuss every step of
what the doctors propose for our boy, whether it is a vaccine they
recommend or another specialist. Neither of us trusts the professional
wholeheartedly.
