Paris must be a very small city.

In the United Snakes, it would require over an hour, by car at
60 mph, to just reach the urban limits, and then you would be
reaching the next metropolis. In a sense, the "countryside"
does not exist.

That's how it is in the Midwest. In the Northeast it's even
worse.

If you happen to be in Chicago, or Los Angeles, or New York City,
just forget it. You could never escape the urban clutter.

That's why I only "bike" on my stationary bike exercise machine.
I can reap all the benefits without venturing into the clogged
and crazy urban jungle.

I do keep my road bikes for short-term transportation, e.g. when
I need to take my car in for servicing.

I'm not sure there is a metropolis in this state but it's 118 miles to
Butte, with a hell of a lot of countryside on the way.

When I was in Fort Wayne, it certainly didn't take an hour to get out of
town on a bicycle and then I could ride through the soybean fields to my
hearts content. Flat, boring as hell, and nothing but beans but I guess it
was 'countryside'.

It wasn't much better flying out of Smith Field in a Tomahawk at 100
knows; you just got to see more bean fields.

Unless he has a strange treadmill, it reports the incline in %. I use the
cardio profile on the gym's treadmills. The incline adjusts to hit your
target heart rate and it usually hits 15% to get my HR up at my normal
walking speed.

No. I had a full recovery after getting off the damn bicycle. It was an
interesting ride. I'd went in the West Yellowstone entrance and rode over
to the Madison junction. One the way back I passed a herd of bison grazing
by the road. I wondered what buffaloes think about bicycles and how fast I
could pedal given sufficient motivation.

It does make you wonder if saddle time had anything to do with Armstrong's
testicular cancer.

I don't know anything about treadmills except that I couldn't imagine
myself using one. So I don't know if they are all the same or not. I
just know whatever the adjustment, when I'm done with an exercise, I'm
tired. Except if it was a very easy exercise. So whatever he did, I
can't be impressed.

It's never that cold in Paris. So I don't have to consider that option.
For now. In the future, who knows? And by the way, I'm just saying I
hate using them, I'm not saying others shouldn't using them.
