As promotional videos go, that's pretty bad.
Not recommended.

Since Christmas is coming, let's get Bing Crosby going.
Get your CD ready. Have you been naughty or have you been nice ?

Wintendo works more easily in some ways, than Linux. I would dare say
it's worth the effort, though, to have a system free of Microsoft.

Dobbs rewrites this, it is invalid precedent. States are

Yeah, there is nothing that can be done about the anti-cheat. Those
titles require TPM to be enabled despite the fact that on the AMD side
at least, it is messy. For such people, console gaming is probably the
smarter choice.

It's worth the effort if you don't feel the need to replace your
computer every three years or if you feel like getting proper support or
a smooth experience during those three years. The way Windows PC
manufacturers disregard your issues once they've already gotten your
money is shocking. If they didn't have to offer a warranty, I'm sure
they wouldn't.

Right, it's a fun toy when it's new, but they're left to deal with it
once it ages, Linux would save the day, but they might not know that.
Which is why I proclaim Linux's software freedom, hoping people will
take note.

I've never found Windows "easier" to use than Linux. The opposite is true.
But I haven't tried to get Windows games working in Linux or M$ Office
working in Wine, so I guess that would a difference.

You would be surprised at how easy it has become for most of the titles.
Some titles are harder but can work if you're willing to jump through a
series of hoops. The thought of going back to Windows is so grotesque to
some of these people that they would rather jump through the hoops.

I was thinking of using Scrivener and got it working fine in Wine last year.
I'm not sure that, had I bought it instead of just used the Demo version, if
I would have been able to activate it correctly. That seemed to be an issue
with some folks who used Scrivener in Wine. At any rate I decided Scrivener
was too complex with too many (too me) unnecessary steps so I deleted the Demo
and removed Wine at the end of my trial period. I do have the old 1.9xx
version of the Linux Beta installed (via an AppImage) but I don't use that
either.

MS has ruled the desktop OS and office software markets for 34 years
straight, with total and complete dominance. And helped generate over
$2 trillion in lifetime revenue for the mighty MS Corporation.

Linux Mint got $9.6 thousand in donations March 2024.

Microsoft _requires_ payment so money must exit your bank account for
the honour of using their software. In Mint's case, no such exchange is
necessary so the money it received was given voluntarily by users of the
software. In other words, Microsoft demands money for its product
regardless of how you might later feel about it whereas Mint suggests
that you give it money if you are satisfied with the product you've
already received. Admittedly, they barely even make such a suggestion
since they are happy to offer you the product at no charge. The people
who therefore gave money to Linux Mint are people who insisted that they
should have it despite the fact that Clément Lefebvre didn't even ask
for it.

And yet which is the one making the news headlines? Which is the side
making such a big deal about winning one more defection in this thread?
