Canada, in Toronto, a bunch of woke teachers decided that they would lie
to parents about the purpose of a field trip, saying it was to protest
against mercury levels in drinking water in Indigenous lands, only to
turn it into an mandatory protest against Israel. They deserve to be
fired but they won't be because Toronto's education system is the most
woke there is.

I think here they become baristas and REI clerks. That's nothing new. The
city has always been known for well educated menial workers. They come to
UM, fall in love with the area, and choose a degree in a field that has no
local demand. The brighter ones take forestry. Even if you're not
particularly interested in trees the GIS programs are quite good.

It is in Ukraine's best interest to end the war as soon as possible and
to go back to normal life. All it would take is for them to keep their
promise about not becoming a part of NATO - especially since it is clear
that the United States want the tactical advantage of removing any
natural obstacle in a theoretical war with Russia - and to respect the
wishes of the residents of Donetsk Oblast, Luhansk Oblast, Zaporizhzhia
Oblast and Kherson Oblast who overwhelmingly voted for annexation.
Russia simply wants the American nose to be kept out of its politics and
its region, especially since the Americans themselves promised not to
move an inch further into their territory in the early 90s. Anyways, I
have little sympathy for Zelensky in this affair. He is doing little
more than confirming what I already knew about Jews in power.

Times change. 'Programming' as a career wasn't really on the table when I
graduated and I certainly wouldn't have chosen it. FORTRAN, punch cards,

I worked with hardware, relay logic, fluidics, and eventually TTL. In a
way it was programming; an OR gate is an OR gate whether it is physical or
a virtual ||. Then came MCUs...

I'm amused that PLCs (programmable logic controllers) still retain a relay
based ladder logic metaphor. I thought that was a transition phase until
the old school plant engineers retired.

I've had the opportunity to read a few of Putin's statements and watch a
number of his interviews (including the Tucker one) and I don't see the
villain everyone else is seeing. Maybe I'm too trusting, but every point
he raises and his response to it makes sense. The Ukrainian election in
2014 was indeed stolen by the Americans, Russia indeed needs for Ukraine
to remain neutral for their own safety and it indeed makes sense for the
country to partner with China considering how the United States is not
playing fair. I imagine that an American will just repeat that they're
evil all day, but I don't see why anyone would benefit by submitting to
American demands. Did any of the South American countries whose
leadership was toppled benefit? Did Jamaica? Did Haiti improve after
Americans got involved?

Ah, I actually had no idea that Argentina didn't improve after Milei
took over. At the same time, I think that the economy and currency were
in such bad shape that there was no way he was going to fix that in the
short term. Either way, it doesn't look like greater proximity to the
United States will do anything beneficial, unless maybe he develops the
tourism industry there and sweetens the deal for Americans looking to
travel there.

How can you make sure that people vote the way you want them to? By
making sure that the message they receive across television, radio and
any news programs within is the same. The progressives are shocked that
when it comes to podcasts, the most popular programs like Rogan and
Tucker lean right. Meanwhile, podcasting is the _one_ place where you
can get a conservative voice.

Radio could have been profitable if they had left it as is and allowed
it to be the place where conservatives could get away from the barrage
of progressive talk, AM radio in particular. However, as we all know,
progressives are so tolerant of a different opinion that they feel the
need to smash it into a million pieces. How dare we think that it's a
good idea to pay your bills and start a family!

It will take work & time to see what he can do.

Armenia is another region that's in trouble: they want to be EU/Western
aligned, but geopolitically Khachaturyan is forced to placate Putin to
not be invaded directly, or be undermined by Turkish & Azeri players.

Its similar to Belarus, where self-determination wishes have to be kept
quiet against what Russia would do in response; the near term compromise
is to play as a Putin puppet to maintain some degree of local autonomy.
Georgia is another complicated mess, where they're also laying low to
try to avoid being invaded by Russia again. Of course, the common
thread to all of these is Russia as the proximate bullying neighbor.

Jeff, you're ignoring that America basically ignored the will of the
people in 2014 and handed over the territory of people who wanted to be

They were in bad shape, but Milei has made it much worse. Argentina had
agreed to join BRICS and that's one of the first things Milei nixed. Instead
he decided to go the Rothschild route and that always ends up badly. I guess
to get on the good side of the world banking system, he almost immediately
converted to Judaism after the election. As far as I can tell he's not very
religious, considers himself some kind of "sex shaman," or some dumb ass
