Television is a sophisticated engineering technology.

VHF TV is allocated a carrier frequency and a bandwidth, e.g.
44 to 50 MHz at a carrier of 45.25 MHz.

But the average mentally retarded consumer of TV could never
comprehend how to tune those frequencies and so TV manufactures
created the "channel." All the fucking retarded idiot consumer
had to do was turn the "dial" to to a preset "channel" and all
was well.

Does this sound familiar?

I hope so, 'cause it has been the business model of Microslop/
Apphole from the very beginning. To make things simple and
foolproof for the idiot computer consumer has been their stock
in trade.

GNU/Linux, however, is tailor made for the computer professional.
There may be distros that cater to the retarded idiot but
fundamentally GNU/Linux is for the knowledgeable and sophisticated
computer user.

It's an interesting way to look at it, yeah, M$/Apple are the pretty
interface of something sophisticated, but you have to pay for the
privilege.

Mint was kind of "catered to the retarded idiot" I guess, although I
didn't have a problem using it, but I am feeling more professional
with openSUSE.

Are you becoming a "concern troll"?

Mint is a _complete_ distro for people who don't want to
eff around with extra repos, etc. It's not perfect, but
goes a long way to take the pain out of running Linux.
