Xz-utils-5.6.2 is released. The backdoor is removed.

5.6.2 is already in Gentoo.

The poor distro lackeys, however, will have to wait until their sluggish
distros approve the release.

Ahahahahahahahahahaha!

What kernel is Gentoo allowing you to run, distro lackey?

For now, it's locked to 5.4..so at least they're doing something. Isn't
Xz somewhat underused nowadays anyways?

Linux Mint (both 20.x and 21.x) are still using Xz-Utils in the 5.2 range.
Which means Linux Mint never had to deal with the backdoor issue. There are
advantages to "trailing edge" (stable) Linux releases.

I don't even know if I ever actually use Xz-Utils. Probably somewhere in the
background? I'm sure not bragging about which version I'm using though.

One day, you'll have to understand people know more about your claims
than you. For a start, you are the only one here who don't know Gentoo
is a distro among others and you are the only one believing you are no
more distro lackey than others.

Then, you'll have to understand it's obvious that your claims about
mastering your distro is only a dream. In your videos, you show a
directory named "Desktop" you don't know how to used, so it has been
created without your consent.

And when you shout about freedektop, its only because you manage
nothing: they provide only default ways for applications to interact. If
you knew anything about your system, you'd be able to change the
defaults.
