Idle thought I just had:
is there a way to get UUCP running on current Windows systems?

At one point I ported UUPC/Extended (UUCP but for Windows and DOS PCs)
to a Windows 7 computer. The original source (not written by me) is
here, but I don't know which hard drive I saved my modifications on:

https://www.uupc.net/

The last time I did UUCP on Windows I did it with Cygwin. That was
probably 15 years ago.

I think that WSL has largely supplanted that. I don't know if WSL
includes UUCP or if it could be used to compile therein. Nor do I know
how graceful interactions with UUCP would be from batch (.bat) and
command (.cmd) files.

I was using Windows task scheduler to call command files which were
using UUCP from Cygwin to shuffle audio files for me from a system with
a radio tuner card. I was recording Prairie Home Companion and Hearts
of Space off of the local NPR station.

Yeah I saw that one, but that page seems to have stopped updating
over 20 years ago. I didn't think you could even run that old
software without some tricks I think.

You can install the UUCP code in WSL2 Ubuntu (for example)

sudo apt install uucp , it will work.
