Isnt that backwards? Usenet has a long history.

Comp.Lang.Python had existed for some years,
and then some cunning Python Mailing-List attached to it
(like a parasite)?

their posts (all with the same SUBJ lines)
don't stay in the same thread, and
end up looking like Drive-by spam.
