That has never happened to me.
The Tslsa map of chargers shows
which ones are in use so you can
steer to one that is vacant. At
our big megastions - Buckees -
they have 40 chargers per location,
of which maybe five or six are in
use at any given time. Stop, hook
up, go inside for a borrito and
popcorn, and the car is charged
up when you get back. Really no
differnt than getting a tank of
gas in terms of time. And of
course that is just on road trips,
normally I charge up at home.
For free.

I still don't spend 80 bucks a week on gas like you claimed.

None of our arguments will convince the EV skeptics here. It's not
about the costs, the time it takes to charge, the range, the
environmental impact, or anything like that. No, EV's are for
leftists. Extreme, liberal, woke, socialist, lib, dem, elitist, deep
state leftists. And that's why they hate EV's.

So true. They love "right thinking
conservative businessman" Elon Musk but
think Texlas are lefty woke plot to
destroy our whole way of life. Go figure.

You're trying to ignore the future. The batteries can't last forever (less
than 10 years), and if you have one accident it will probably be the end of
the car.
Battery powered cars aren't the final answer. The corrupt corporations are
holding back far better tech. They've murdered many inventors like Stan
Meyers. We need to focus on kicking them out and then we won't have an
energy and transport problem.

No, I am stating the present from
my personal experience with the issue
which you have none.

What tech would that be? What tech do /you/ know about that the
corrupt corporations are holding back? Be specific. What tech?

Of course you believe Stan Meyers and his water fuel cell. Have you
ever looked at his diagrams? They are not that complicated, and if
they really worked there is no way "the corrupt corporations" could
prevent the development of water fuel cells.

Here's an idea! Why don't you build one? Or, even better! You can buy
one right here for only $239,00 (tax included):

https://www.hhomart.com/home/41-stan-meyer-cell.html

And before you run off again, name another of the "many inventors"
that were murdered (excluding those who died of an aneurysm).

Then start kicking. Posting in obscure newsgroups ain't doin' it, bro.
Start some serious kicking!

So you made this thread be about only your wonderful experience with them

That's right. We should no longer be using 150+ year old ancient combustion
tech any more. We are only doing so because of massive corruption.

Corrupt Biden is pushing EVs like there's no tomorrow.

"Getting this fuel to remote areas of the world is an arduous task that’s
not only expensive..."
So is building recharging stations all over the place for military use.
And what if the enemy bombs the power stations? What then?

Yes. Toyota was one of the first to start making hybrids en masse and
resisting EVs and they were right.
Toyota are smart.

On the Moon. And Mars. Anywhere
where silent tansport is critical,
anywhere where hauling around large
quantities of liguid fuel is a
handicap.

Really? If you need to sneak 200
pounds of weapons 30 miles behind enemy
lines in an hour how else are you going
to do it? As the Ukraine has shown
electic motorcycles do the trick.

fuel can be

Hauling tons of fuel to a remote
location is cumbersome, hauling an
array of solar panels is lighter and
does not need constant replenishment.
