Lying Criminal Felon Trump Made America A Shithole, Biden Saved It

Trumps America Becomes One of Those Shithole Countries

Republicans made their bargain with the president and the cost is coming
due.

By John F. Harris

The capital was consumed by talk of insurrection, a tense standoff with
police guns drawn at the doors of the national legislature, a fatality, a
curfew enforced by soldiers in the streets. What country are we talking
about?

This one, of course, and if it had happened elsewhere it might well have
merited citation from President Donald Trump himself the next time he
updates his notorious almanac of shithole countries.

But it didnt happen elsewhere. It happened in the worlds oldest
democracy, and in that sense was powerfully illuminating of what happens
when one takes Trump Era politics to its logical destination.

The evacuation of the Senate chamber when the Capitols security was
breached was hectic, but not so much that Sen. Mitt Romney didnt have time
for commentary for his fellow Republicans who had joined Trump in
challenging his loss to President-elect Joe Biden with bogus assertions of
pervasive fraud: This is what youve gotten guys, Romney scolded. Later,
he told The New York Times, This is what the president caused today, this
insurrection.

The day, just two weeks before the transfer of power on Jan. 20, was
historic in multiple ways. But one milestone was especially noteworthy: It
turns out even Trump can find himself rudely splattered by the muck of
Trumpism.

Even he can be burned by the essential bargain of the Republican Party in
the Trump Era: Just play along with the spectacle, and enjoy the material
and psychic rewards of power.

This was a fraudulent election, but we cant play into the hands of these
people, Trump pleaded in a video released as the Capitol was under siege
by Trump-backing insurrectionists trying to halt the attempted
certification of the presidential election. So go home. We love you.
Youre very special.

It was as if Trump himself was taken aback by the revelation that at least
some his backers dont realize his presidency is the political equivalent
of pro wrestling lots of puffing and bluster and body slams designed as
entertainment. Its like those guys took him seriously a few hours earlier
at a Stop the Steal rally to repeat his claims that our election
victory was stolen by emboldened radical-left Democrats and the news
media, and taunting everyone in his own party from his vice president on
down who does not agree with him.

It came on the day when Republicans, who lost the House in 2018 in large
part because of Trumps polarizing presidency, also lost the Senate when
two Republicans were evicted from their seats in Georgia, in a special
election shadowed by Trumps spurious claims of election fraud. In
combination with the mayhem at the Capitol, it underlined the
transactionalism at the heart of the Trump years. Lots of people have made
bargains, and the light is better than ever to assess how these have paid
off.

At the individual level this bargain I dont much like what Trump does or
says, but Ive got good reasons for setting misgivings aside was what a
long parade of people did in going to work as one of his chiefs of staff or
national security advisers or cabinet secretaries. It is hard to name any
who emerged from the bargain unscathed, with neither public reputation nor
personal dignity undiminished.

At the national level, that is what the Republican Party did once most of
its members accurately perceived the question of the age is What side are
you on? and concluded that the only safe place for someone with ambition
is, On the side of Trump.

Trump famously boasted that his supporters would still back him if he shot
someone on Fifth Avenue. What happened Wednesday was something different
a damaging wound to him or those sympathetic to his cause delivered in the
name of supporting him.

In that sense, it highlighted the broader predicament of the Republican
Party. The GOP is a coalition of people who like Trump, people who dont
like Trump but pretend to for expedient reasons, with a small sliver of
people who dont like him and dont pretend to and whom are left to wonder
about their own future in the party.

Even before the violence, it was a day when Republican leaders faced
recriminations about how the strategy of Trump accommodation paid off. In
his reelection bid, Trump proved himself to be the greatest mobilizer of
Republican turnout ever, winning the second-highest number of votes in
American history. He also turned out to be greatest mobilizer of Democratic
turnout ever, helping President-elect Joe Biden win the first-highest
number of votes in American history.

Until this week, one could have made the case that Senate Majority Leader
Mitch McConnell was a nearly singular figure: Someone who came out ahead in
the bargain to work with Trump and muzzle any negative sentiments he might
have harbored about the presidents behavior. After all, McConnell got what
he wanted most: four years of conservative judges. After the November
elections, it looked like McConnell might keep his power as majority leader
and even could lay down terms to a Democratic president whom hes known
longer and probably likes more than Trump.

McConnell is soon to be minority leader. His speech deploring the attempt
at challenging the certification of Bidens victory Our democracy would
enter a death spiral if the attempt was successful might have been the
days big news were it not for the confrontation.

How does McConnell view his bargain now?

Or how about Vice President Mike Pence? Four years in which he surrendered
independent identity to show obsequiousness to Trump in public, and
evidently also in private, were repaid with a Trump tweet on Wednesday
saying, Mike Pence didnt have the courage to do what should have been
done to protect our Country and our Constitution by trying to block
certification of Bidens election. Is Pence still supposing that he will be
the natural inheritor of the Trump movement in 2024?

How about Sens. Ted Cruz and Josh Hawley, also likely 2024 aspirants. Are
they feeling as good about their decision to contest the election
certification after the Capitol insurrection as they were before?

Rep. Mike Gallagher, a Wisconsin Republican, was quoted calling the days
events banana republic crap and said they highlighted the cost of
efforts to try to deny election certification.

That sounded clear enough. But Gallagher himself has been navigating
Trumps claims gingerly. Earlier this week, he joined a statement with
other Republicans saying they wouldnt attempt to block certification of
Bidens victory but also asserting that they are outraged at the
significant abuses in our election system resulting from the reckless
adoption of mail-in ballots and the lack of safeguards maintained to
guarantee that only legitimate votes are cast and counted.

It seemed like an attempt at artful difference-splitting, aimed at
separating themselves from Trumps maneuvers without alienating his
supporters. But these are not congenial times for difference-splitters.

Which side are you on is indeed the question of the age, but the sides
arent Republicans and Democrats. The choice is democracy and rule of law
on one side, and a brand of politics unhinged from principle or self-
restraint on the other.

news:v6pbik$2jm39$1@dont-email.me:

> I suck dick

A 22-year-old college student from Mississippi was found beaten to death
and wrapped in a sheet in the backseat of her car last week days after
her father warned a judge that if her boyfriend was let out of jail, he
would kill her.

Lauren Johansens body was discovered mutilated and wrapped in trash bags
and a sheet on July 3 in the Wolf River Cemetery in Harrison County, news
station WLOX reported.

Her father says that the man charged in her murder, boyfriend Bricen
Rivers, had just bonded out of jail days earlier after he was held for
aggravated kidnapping for brutally beating her and holding her hostage
during a December trip to Nashville.

You can see what happened when he hit her 100 times back in December so
just imagine what he did to her when nobody was around to save her, her
father, Lance Johansen, told the Daily Mail.

I sat in the courtroom in Nashville and told the judge that if they let
him out, he was going to kill her, the slain students father, Lance
Johansen, told WLOX. He had assaulted her this was probably the fifth
or sixth time where they would get into a fight and he would beat her.

Rivers, 23, faces a murder charge and is being held on a $1 million bond.

He was arrested last Thursday, July 4, following a six-hour manhunt,
NOLA.com reported.

Lauren Johansen, who was originally from Gulfport, was attending the
University of Southern Mississippi to get a nursing degree, said her
father, who is an orthopedic surgeon.

The 22-year-old was first reported missing early July 2 when her sister
woke up alone in their shared Hattiesburg apartment with the front door
wide open and their security camera smashed.

That same morning, her father woke up to a notification that her Life360,
a location-tracking app, had been turned off.

He reported her missing to the Hattiesburg Police Department and the next
day, officers informed him that they located her car in a nearby cemetery.

I knew she was dead, Lance Johansen told WLOX, detailing how she was
found wrapped up in trash bags in the backseat of her car.

She was basically beaten to death. Her face was smashed in, her head was
smashed in, she was brutally beaten to the point she couldnt see out of
either eye when she finally died and there was multiple holes in her
head, he said.

He continued: I helped the coroner lift her body out of the car. It was
just mutilated.

The heartbroken father slammed the criminal justice system in Tennessee
for failing his family, saying Rivers bond should have never been
reduced.

Rivers, who initially was held on $251,000, had his bond lowered to
$150,000 after he had been in jail for seven months.

In the moments leading to Rivers December arrest, police officers found
Lauren Johansen badly beaten and trying to escape a rental vehicle as
Rivers reached for a firearm.

I think the criminal justice system in Nashville, Tennessee, failed my
daughter and our family. The world shouldnt work this way, he told WLOX.
She was really beautiful, super, super smart. She had dreams and hopes
that were larger than life. Everything she did, everything she touched.

If that were my daughter, the first on my list that I would hold
accountable are those in the "criminal justice" system that let it happen
and I don't mean holding them accountable by mere words. Can't sue them
because it's almost impossible to do thanks to the level of immunity the
politicians have given them but there's other forms of justice.

End Qualified Immunity for District Attorneys, Judges and Parole Boards.
If anyone in these Public Trust positions refuses to prosecute, set
appropriate bail or approves early release of a violent offender that once
released commits new violent felonies these officials would be personally
responsible to the Victims; Removal of Qualified Immunity protection would
allow the "latest victim" to respond with a Civil Lawsuit that could
possibly impact the Offending Official's income and property. (Not an
unrealistic solution as several cities have removed Qualified Immunity for
their Police Departments)

You're right. That judge should not be allowed to continue being a judge.
How many more murderers will he release if he remains. Sadly we are
heading to a world where there will only be justice if people take justice
in their own hands.

An Axis is developing based on Russia, China, Iran and North Korea. Trump has aligned
himself with this Axis.

In news from Europe:

The EU will not touch Russian principle in western banks but all earned interest will be
deposited to Ukraine accounts to help finance the war.

Why is so much Russian money in the west?
Dictators like putting their money in western banks. The west has the rule of law and
their money is safe there.

Warning: This article contains content that some readers may find disturbing.

The Minnesota Freedom Fund (MFF), a charity promoted by Democratic vice presidential nominee Kamala Harris, helped free a 37-year-old man accused of raping an 8-year-old girl from jail.

The fund also bailed out a man who allegedly broke into the home of a 71-year-old woman and tortured her, and a man accused of curb stomping and robbing another man who walked with a cane the same day that George Floyd died. Records of the fund assisting these individuals and others were obtained by Alpha News in collaboration with the Daily Caller News Foundation (DCNF).

Harris first promoted the fund on June 1 when she asked her supporters to give the MFF their money on Twitter. The link she included in her Twitter post still leads to a page featuring her branding that allows individuals to give money to the fund, as of September 10.

Harris promoted the fund to, in her own words, “help post bail for those protesting on the ground in Minnesota” during the George Floyd riots. Thanks to her help and the help of many other high-profile liberals, the fund raked in over $35 million ostensibly to assist arrested protesters. Only 6% of the money the fund has spent since Floyd’s death has actually gone towards this cause, per the MFF itself.

A large portion of the money actually went to freeing alleged criminals arrested on charges that are not related to the protests.

Timothy Wayne Columbus
He “put his thing inside me,” an 8-year-old girl told authorities as they investigated allegations that 37-year-old Timothy Wayne Columbus sexually assaulted a child.

The report states that “‘Tim’ laid her [the victim] on the couch and held her down as he unbuckled his pants and then pulled down her pants.”

He then “told her not to tell anyone and continued to penetrate her,” according to the report.

This is not the first time Columbus has been investigated in connection with sexual crimes. He “has a prior juvenile adjudication for criminal sexual conduct … and is a registered sex offender,” the report notes.

If convicted, he faces up to 30 years in prison.

The MFF paid at least $75,000 for his conditional release and as much as $300,000 for his unconditional release, according to records related to his ongoing case (court file number 27-CR-20-14425).

Columbus filed to have his bail money returned to the MFF prior to his release, indicating that the group provided the funds to set him free.

Richard Raynell Kelley
When officers responded to the home of a 71-year-old woman who called in regarding a domestic assault, they “observed a pool of blood” and found her nursing “a swollen eye that was competently red/bloodshot” with “bruises on her chest, shoulders, back and legs,” per a statement of probable cause on file with the Hennepin County District Court.

The aged lady told officers that it was her son, 54-year-old Richard Raynell Kelley, who broke into her home, grabbed her, beat her, bound her with duct tape and left her “laying on the floor at the foot of the stairs where officers later found a pool of blood.”

“Defendant [Kelley] proceeded to run up and down the stairs multiple times, stepping on Victim each time he passed her,” according to the statement of probable cause.

Kelley also told his elderly mother “he was going to kill her,” and kept her bound for a period of time while he napped and made food in her home.

The statement of probable cause also notes that by invading his mother’s home, he violated a no-contact order. The statement adds that authorities are concerned Kelley may do further harm to his mother if freed from custody.

The MFF freed him for between $4,000 and $50,000, depending on the terms of his bail, per a court document that indicates his set bail amounts.

Kelley later went on to violate a court order requiring him to remain in his home, according to another court document.

Kelley is currently at large, and his whereabouts are unknown, according to the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office, the DCNF discovered.

Like Columbus, the fact that Kelley filed for his bail to be returned to the Freedom Fund indicates that the MFF paid his way out of police custody.

Deshaun Jermaine Boyd
Surveillance video shows Deshaun Jermaine Boyd knocking a man with a cane to the ground, and then stomping on his head before robbing him, according a statement of probable cause on file with the Hennepin County courts.

Boyd allegedly caused “significant injuries” to his victim’s “face and head.” When police found the victim, he “had difficulty talking and seemed to not understand where he was,” per the statement.

Just one day after he was arrested, Boyd filed to have his bail money returned to the MFF, again indicating that the fund secured his release.

The three individuals listed in this article are just some of the many individuals bailed out by the Minnesota Freedom Fund and identified by Alpha News and the DCNF. Both outlets will continue to publish more stories about these individuals.
