I don't remember where I got it.

Not that it matters. If the right can dish it out, they'd best be prepared to
take it.

What will they be like if Trump gives them immunity?

My only problem with Citizen's United is the anonymity.

Supposedly, anybody can get up on their soapbox and speak their mind, and
supposedly money equals free speech. But when was the last time you saw
somebody get up on their soapbox with a bag on their head?

All contributions to any and all types of political entities should be fully

Proceed with caution on the subject of war reparations.

Heavy reparations following WWI brought us WWII. WWII was followed not by
reparations but by investment and has brought us a peace dividend that will be a
century old within a generation.

I'd rather see Russia coaxed back into the European sphere where it can more
easily be part of preventing Chinese domination. One carrot for this is for
Russia to realize that Beijing has its eye on outer Manchuria and god knows what
other Russian territory in far eastern Asia.

To that end, the Russo/Japanese dispute over the Kuril Islands should be
peacefully resolved and the Siberian independence movement addressed.

> That's how Obama, Biden and Pelosi got rich.

The *Citizens United* decision reshaped the political landscape in a way that
affected all major political figures, including Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Nancy
Pelosi, and contemporary Republican leaders such as Donald Trump, Mitch
McConnell, and Paul Ryan. While Obama, Biden, and Pelosi publicly criticized
the ruling, they, like their Republican counterparts, benefited indirectly in
several ways:

### **Democratic Figures:**
1. **Increased Campaign Contributions:**
- **For Obama and Biden:** The ruling allowed for increased spending by
Super PACs and independent groups, which supported Democratic candidates and
causes. For example, during Obama's 2012 re-election campaign, pro-Obama Super
PACs like Priorities USA Action raised and spent millions to counteract
similar efforts from Republican groups. While Obama initially opposed Super
PACs, his campaign ultimately embraced their support to remain competitive.
- **For Biden:** During the 2020 election, pro-Biden Super PACs and
independent groups played a significant role. Groups like Unite the Country
and Future Forward USA Action spent millions supporting Biden’s candidacy and
attacking Donald Trump.

2. **Support for Democratic Causes and Candidates:**
- **Pelosi's Role:** As Speaker of the House, Pelosi benefited from
increased fundraising and spending that helped maintain and expand the
Democratic majority in the House. Super PACs and dark money groups supported
various Democratic candidates and causes aligned with her agenda. While Pelosi
herself was critical of the decision, she navigated the post-*Citizens United*
environment to strengthen Democratic fundraising and campaign efforts.

3. **Balancing Against Republican Spending:**
- Both Obama and Biden faced well-funded Republican opposition,
particularly in the 2012 and 2020 elections, respectively. The *Citizens
United* ruling allowed Democratic-aligned groups to raise funds more
effectively to counter the significant spending from Republican and
conservative groups. This was crucial in competitive races where both sides
needed significant resources for advertising, outreach, and ground operations.

4. **Mobilizing the Democratic Base:**
- The decision also provided an opportunity to galvanize the Democratic
base around the issue of campaign finance reform. Obama, Biden, and Pelosi all
used their opposition to the ruling to rally supporters who were concerned
about the influence of money in politics. This helped them frame their
campaigns as fights against corporate interests and for democratic reforms.

5. **Funding for Policy Advocacy and Legislative Efforts:**
- *Citizens United* facilitated the growth of nonprofit advocacy groups
that aligned with Democratic policy goals. Organizations like the Center for
American Progress and others received increased funding, enabling them to
advocate for progressive policies and support Democratic legislative agendas.

### **Republican Figures:**
1. **Increased Financial Support from Conservative Groups:**
- **For Trump:** Donald Trump benefited from significant support from Super
PACs and independent expenditure groups in both the 2016 and 2020 elections.
Groups like America First Action and Great America PAC spent millions on
advertising and mobilization efforts to support his campaign and policies.
- **For McConnell and Ryan:** As key Republican leaders in Congress, Mitch
McConnell and Paul Ryan benefited from increased fundraising capabilities for
GOP campaigns. McConnell, in particular, has been a vocal supporter of the
*Citizens United* decision, arguing that it upholds free speech rights.

I've already deleted the quote since I can no longer cite the source. On other
subjects though, I want rightists to feel what it's like to discover you've been
deliberately lied to to your face and there is absolutely nothing you can do to
prevent that lie from being accepted as the truth.

Precisely. And they need to be more than ex-soldiers designed to suppress
loudness. There is a place in modern policing for professional training in
psychology and human behavior.

Cops lie to the courts and for each other. That has to stop. As kids we were
educated to believe cops were honest and interested in our safety and well
being. We then grow up to discover we've been duped into giving them power
nobody should have over their fellow citizens outside war time.

How about respecting Ukraine's sovereignty and letting them decide
their peace? If Ukraine and Russia mutually decide to alter their
border, that is their business.

I hope they get peace, but I do not have a say.

You mean peace as long as Ukraine is willing to give up territory?

I get it. I have at times treated those who troll me by their own rules, for
example repeating accusations against a guy who has trolled me for over two
decades. But I do it in an honest way and note it is an example.

To some extent. I knew a cop who confiscated fireworks and gave them to a
friend and me.

We should have compassion that they are human and will respond to threatening
situations in ways that are not perfect, but we need to demand better from
them and hold them accountable when they actively abuse their power.

Today's two reasons to not vote for Trump in 43 days.

07) Trump extreme conservative judicial appointments.
1 in 3 American women now live in a state with an abortion ban.
08) One of Trump's SCOTUS nominees, Bret Kavanaugh, was
accused of sexual assault by multiple women.
The only other SCOTUS justice to be so accused was
Clarence Thomas, also a noted conservative.

Laughable snit. You are a fucking, mentally retarded, psychotic troll.
You lie pathologically which is why you have websites listing
interactions you have had with various Usenet posters over your last
decades of trolling.

These are not made up accusations. They are backed up with links to the
actual posts, in context, where the entire thread can be read. Most of
the links work but those that Google deleted can be found in WB Machine.

You move from group to group sucking people into your snit circus and
the net result is a group left in chaos and destruction. It happens
every single time.
Alt.computer.workshop appears to be your latest target but now you seem
to have parked your circus in AFR-L.
Too bad for them.
Ask the people of comp.sys.mac.advocacy what they think of you and your
troll farm.
The only way they got you to leave was to shun you but by that time the
groups was a wasteland due to people leaving because of your antics.

So people in AFR-L know about your public crime record snit?
How about being arrested for public assault by your own wife?
How about your wife, common law BTW, kicking you out of the trailer you
both lived in?
How about the court ordered parenting classes?
Do they know about this?

All easily found publicly.

This is another one of your classic tells snit.
You always seem to have some "friend" who just happens to fit into the
thread.
Last time you just happened to be boating on a lake and loaned a life
vest to a person in need.

For a person who is a self admitted hermit who rarely leaves the house
due to mental illness, you sure seem to have a multitude of friends.

Mental illness you say?

Look here'

Scroll down about a third of the page to Michael Glasser who carries a
stuffed teddy bear around with him.

To conclude, here is all you need to know about the fucking crazy as
bedbug snit Michael Glasser. I take no credit for this as it's been
previously posted across many different groups,

Ask snit how he pissed on his cat.

Is there something that makes you think your opinion matters? I mean you spew
nonsense and want to be taken seriously. How sad.

See: you start by saying you have no real point but want to insult. You seek
to cause harm. That is a YOU issue.

Yet these "lies" cannot be quoted. No matter what name / account you use, you
cannot explain how "lies" are unquotable.

Yet here you are NOT showing a single example, even as you lie your ass off.

Babbling nonsense is not a great look for you.

Remember you did not want to give away you are a sock. But explain how a
"public" record is not available to the public. LOL!

Your sock usage is absurd.

Again, what? Your lies are just silly.

Link?

Oh. You made it up.
