The Reasons Behind The 2 Assassination Attempts On Trump.

'The Trump campaign has said the unsayable out loud: Democrats and the
mainstream media have been working overtime to demonize Trump, and the
inevitable result is that the more unhinged among them are being
inspired to violence.

I've already written a couple of posts about the Democrats' incitement
to violence, including instances above and beyond those cited by Trump.
Conversely, Trump has listed a bunch that I haven't mentioned.

So let me reproduce his press release here:

Yesterday, President Donald J. Trump was the target of a second
assassination attempt in as many months.

Thankfully, the would-be assassin was stopped by the heroic action of
law enforcement — but make no mistake, this psycho was egged on by the
rhetoric and lies that have flowed from Kamala Harris, Democrats, and
their Fake News allies for years.

Democrats used increasingly incendiary rhetoric against President Trump
in the days, weeks, and months leading up to the two assassination
attempts:

Kamala Harris — repeatedly: "Trump is a threat to our democracy and
fundamental freedoms."

Kamala Harris: "It's on us to recognize the threat [Trump] poses."

Kamala Harris: "Does one of us have to come out alive? Ha ha ha ha!"

Joe Biden: "It's time to put Trump in a bullseye."

Joe Biden: "I mean this from the bottom of my heart: Trump is a threat
to this nation."

Joe Biden: "There is one existential threat: it's Donald Trump."

Joe Biden: "Trump is a genuine threat to this nation ... He's literally
a threat to everything America stands for."

Joe Biden: "Trump and MAGA Republicans are a threat to the very soul of
this country."

Joe Biden: "Trump and the MAGA Republicans represent an extremism that
threatens the very foundations of our republic ... and that is a threat
to this country."

Tim Walz: "Are [Republicans] a threat to democracy? Yes. ... Are they
going to put peoples' lives in danger? Yes." Gwen Walz: "Buh-bye, Donald
Trump."

Rep. Nancy Pelosi: "[Trump] is a threat to our democracy of the kind
that we have not seen."

Rep. Jasmine Crockett: "MAGA in general — they are threats to us
domestically."

Rep. Dan Goldman: "He is destructive to our democracy and ... he has to
be eliminated."

Disgraced Harris staffer TJ Ducklo: "Trump is an existential, urgent
threat to our democracy."

Top Harris surrogate Liz Cheney: "Trump presents a fundamental threat to
the republic and we are seeing it on a daily basis."

Rep. Steve Cohen: "Trump is an enemy of the United States."

Rep. Maxine Waters: "Are [Trump supporters] preparing a civil war
against us?"

Rep. Maxine Waters: "I want to know about all of those right-wing
organizations that [Trump] is connected with who are training up in the
hills somewhere."

Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz: Trump is an "existential threat to our
democracy."

Rep. Adam Schiff: Trump is the "gravest threat to our democracy."

Rep. Gregory Meeks: "Trump cannot be president again. He's an
existential threat to democracy." Rep. Dan Goldman: "Trump remains the
greatest threat to our democracy."

Rep. Jake Auchincloss: "What unifies us as a party is knowing that
Donald Trump is an existential threat to Democracy."

Rep. Abigail Spanberger: "Trump is a threat to our democracy … the
threats to our democratic republic are real."

Rep. Annie Kuster: "Trump and his extreme right-wing followers pose an
existential threat to our democracy." Rep. Becca Balint: "We cannot
underestimate the threat [Trump] poses to American democracy."

Rep. Jason Crow: "Trump is an extreme danger to our democracy."

democracy."

Sen. Michael Bennet: Trump is "a threat to our democracy."

That doesn't even include the dangerous rhetoric against President Trump
spewed by deranged Democrats during the 2016 and 2020 elections, the
impeachment hoaxes, and the Summer of Love.

Meanwhile, the deplorable commentary from Democrats and the Fake News in
the aftermath of the latest assassination attempt has been even worse:

Rep. Hakeem Jeffries: "We must stop [Trump]."

Rachel Vindman, wife of disgraced impeachment hoax 'witness': "No ears
were harmed. Carry on with your Sunday afternoon."

Rep. Mikie Sherrill: "This really seems to be the confluence of two very
bad things going on in the Republican Party ... the attempts to divide,
to enrage the population."

State Rep. Steven Woodrow (D-CO): "The last thing America needed was
sympathy for the devil but here we are."

Lester Holt, NBC Nightly News: "Today's apparent assassination attempt
comes amid increasingly fierce rhetoric on the campaign trail. Mr.
Trump, his running mate JD Vance, continue to make baseless claims..."

Alex Witt, MSNBC: "Do you expect there to be calls from within the Trump
campaign to [tone it down]?"

Phil Bump, The Washington Post: "Another chance for Trump to frame
Democrats as dangerous has emerged."

Bill Kristol, The Bulwark: "Vance ... incite[s] potential violence with
lies."

Ron Filipkowski, liberal commentator: "Was the golf course guy with the
gun a migrant?"

David Frum, The Atlantic: "Trump and his running mate have spent the
past week successfully inciting violence ... today they want to present
themselves as near-victims of violence."

Jonathan Chait, New York Magazine: "Trump is a threat to democracy, and
saying so is not incitement."

The Cincinnati Enquirer: "The former president, Donald Trump, brings a
lot of this stuff on himself."

USA TODAY: "Hope in America."

NBC News: "Golf course incident."

Bloomberg: Trump "seizing on assassination attempt."

Democrats and the Fake News must immediately cease their inflammatory,
violent rhetoric against President Trump — which was mimicked by
yesterday's would-be asssassin.

President Trump said it best: "Because of this Communist Left Rhetoric,
the bullets are flying, and it will only get worse!"

Yesterday Twitter/X was awash in ridiculous posts, ranging from "it was
a hoax" to "it's all Trump's fault." And it wasn't just left-wing wackos
of the harridans of The View or the jerks on MSNBC. In newspapers across
the country, pundits intoned in the fake "not in anger but in sorrow"
tones of hypocrites that Donald Trump inspired people to shoot at him.

If only Trump had the decency to die, they wouldn't have to keep trying
to kill him.

My favorite in that Overton mashup was Rick Wilson of The Lincoln
Project fame, who hates Donald Trump because he violates democratic
norms, calling for a bullet to be put into Trump's head.

Nice. Very respectful of American norms, Rick. Or how about this from
yesterday?

I do think that many of these people are serious when they complain
about Trump's rhetoric and totally unaware that they are the worst
people in the world. They truly believe they are saving democracy.

Not all of them, of course. Many of them are just evil people, like Adam
Schiff and Dan Goldman. I wonder what they would say if Republicans
started calling for their "elimination?"

I don't want to find out. I just want them voted out of office and
covered in the shame they so richly deserve.

As some people have pointed out, Donald Trump has now survived more
assassination attempts this election cycle than Kamala Harris has given
one-on-one press interviews.

This is the Democrats' vision of how "democracy" is supposed to work.

PHOENIX — State and county officials are investigating an "administrative issue" impacting the voting status and ballots of some people living in Arizona who have not provided documentation of U.S. citizenship.

The Maricopa County Recorder’s Office says it found about 97,000 registrants impacted by an "administrative error." According to officials, these voters could have had access to a full ballot for decades when they should have been receiving a federal-only ballot.

Beginning Dec. 8, 2004, Arizona law required registrants who provided documentation to receive full ballots and those who did not provide documentation to receive federal-only ballots. According to the law, a driver’s license issued after Oct. 1, 1996, could be used as proof of citizenship.

An MVD and "AVID system" administrative issue reportedly involved duplicate licenses and their issuance dates.

“The AVID system was programmed to query the duplicate issuance date and would not alert the county that the license was originally issued before 10/1/1996,” according to the governor’s office.

"This flaw has existed since 2004. In every county. Across the state," Maricopa County Recorder Stephen Richer said on X on Tuesday.

The issue was discovered and reportedly brought to the governor’s attention on Sept. 7. The governor's office says the corrections have been developed and will be corrected “pending final action by the Secretary of State.”

The Secretary of State and County Recorder reportedly differ on their positions on how to move forward. Richer says the issue will be going to courts “to get a clear answer.”

Governor Katie Hobbs released the following statement about the issue on Tuesday:

“After Recorder Richer brought an erroneous voter registration record to my attention, my team identified and fixed an administrative error that originated in 2004, and affects longtime residents who received a driver’s license before 1996. As soon as I became aware of the problem, I directed MVD to work with the SOS to aggressively develop and implement a solution and, out of an abundance of caution, will be implementing an independent audit to ensure that MVD systems are functioning as necessary to support voter registration. I’m proud of MVD for their hard work implementing a fix to this problem in record time.”

According to Arizona Clean Elections, “A Federal Only Voter is a voter who registers to vote, but does not provide documentary proof of citizenship or proof of residency, and/or the county recorder is unable to ascertain citizenship status of the voter. Therefore, the federal-only voter may only vote in federal elections (President, U.S. Senator, and U.S. House of Representatives).”

A Full Ballot voter has “provided documentary proof of citizenship and residency when registering to vote, or the county recorder ascertained proof of citizenship from the voter registration database or the Motor Vehicle Division. A full ballot includes federal elections, state elections and local elections.”

Many federal-only voters have been identified as college students, for example, because they do not have immediate access to their birth certificates while attending school.

While some may not provide documentary proof of citizenship upon voting registration, "voters must still attest under penalty of perjury that they are a United States citizen when they register to vote,” election officials say.

Some tragedies are impossible to prevent, or even to predict. The death of Amber Nicole Thurman was not. She was perhaps the first woman killed by the overturning of Roe v. Wade.

In Georgia, where Thurman lived, abortions became illegal from the time when a “detectable human heartbeat” was present—around six weeks into pregnancy. The law came into effect in late July of that year, at the same time that Thurman, a 28-year-old medical assistant, discovered that she was six weeks pregnant with twins.

Thanks to ProPublica, which obtained Thurman’s medical records with her family’s permission, we can see what happened next. She already had a 6-year-old son, and decided that she could not raise two more children. But she couldn’t get a termination in her home state. And so she scheduled a surgical abortion in North Carolina, took a day off work, hired a babysitter, borrowed a relative’s car on a false pretext, and got up at 4 a.m. to drive four hours with a friend to the clinic. But they hit traffic, and Thurman missed her appointment. The clinic could not give her another time slot, because so many women from out of state, also facing tough new laws, were booked on that day.
