I can feed four adults and two kids hot dogs, potato chips and baked beans for
$10. If the adults want 2 dogs, it's $12. If the adults also want a couple of
beers it's still under twenty bucks. Good luck finding that meal in a
restaurant for TWO for under $25.

Thick cut boneless chops with rice and gravy and mixed vegetables for $3 a
plate.

Burgers and fries for $2.50 a plate.

Last week they had one inch ribeyes for 6.99 lb.

Why are you complaining about food inflation? This is how you beat inflation.
You SHOP. You force manufacturers and retailers to cut prices. Make THEM
compete for YOUR dollars with specials and price cuts.

If you're paying too much for groceries, just stop it. Don't go and buy exactly
what you want and damn the price! Look for the specials, the discounts, and
stock up. Create your menus to fit seasonable specials. Find your favorite
brand of mayo on sale, BOGO? Grab four or six. Coffee one third off, buy
three. So the 85/15 ground chuck you usually get is 7.49 lb but 80/20 is
4.59lb. Buy the sale beef. Don't pay retail for anything you don't have to. So
what if your favorite baked chicken uses skinless, boneless breast at 6.99, try
making it with skinless, boneless thighs for half the price. Chuck roast still
high at 8.49lb? Try a boston butt pork roast for half the price. Salt, pepper,
brown and slow roast ... you might find you like it better than chuck! Most
importantly, don't buy processed/prepared food. No TV dinners or mixes or
dinners in a box. Chocolate chip cookies from scratch are hella better than
anything you'll find in a bag at the Supermart. Homemade tastes better and is
healthier.

Groceries are the most controllable expense category a household has. Shopping
this way saves you money and sends a message to the food supply chain, "I will
not be raped for my groceries!" Your grocery bill will go down and prices will
too.

The problem is the voters are falling for it.
I had a close friend of mine, a Trump hater, try the 2025 topic with me.
She actually believes that Trump was part of the team who authored it despite Trump disavowing a
connection with the project.
She works as a chemist for a large paint manufacturer and has multiple degrees. She is just so
involved in her career and family that she doesn't have the time to dive deep into the candidate's
platforms.
That is what the democrats are counting on with their fake media blitz of lies and half truths.
And it will probably work just like it did in 2020.

A man was killed in a shooting in West Town early Sunday morning, Chicago police said.

The man, who police said was between 20 and 30 years-old, was found unresponsive with a gunshot wound to his head in the 700 block of North Halsted Street about 12:46 a.m., police said. He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in critical condition, and he later died.

No one is in custody.

Another lie. Some states stopped accepting mail ins on election day, others
accepted them as long as they were postmarked by election day. In many states
it took up to a week to get them counted, largely due to regulations Republican
legislators had passed on counting votes.
