What would help at least as much (and potentially more) is for local
'green' generation (solar; wind), so as to displace the demand for oil,
so the "drill baby drill" is a deliberately incomplete policy plan.

Indeed. If it was possible to get rid of the entire Federal workforce,
the cost savings would be roughly just half of what the annual cost is
of the 2017 TCJA (which was promised to have no effect on fed revenues).

When one does away with playing field levelling regulations, there's a
lot of hidden costs for individuals & businesses to increase their
internal quality controls to offset the risks of getting dangerous crap.

Yup, its more money in the economy available to spend.

By raising prices of goods.

That too; a friend lost his US Export business in 18/19 because of this.

I'd say that it is, since it is a reduction in the workforce, which
increases the costs of labor, which is inflationary. Of course, the
counterpoint is fewer workers = fewer services = recessionary risk.

Likewise, how does one end them? By surrendering to the aggressors?
Neville Chamberlain would like a word about that.

And Iran is now closer than ever to having their own nuclear capability
because of Trump...

....but that's supposedly not "destabilizing", somehow! /s

Interesting claim. Got substantiating details?

Make sure to include the part on how it was a loan and not a gift.

Similarly, contemplate the pros/cons of foreign aid which is intended to
allow those foreigners to stay in their home country, instead of seeking
to emigrate to the USA. Likewise, look at the business angle from such
economic development to cultivate markets for US manufacturers to have
an export market to sell goods to too.

Who wields the REAL power in the USA?

Mr Biden appears to have been somewhat disabled for quite some time.
Who has told him what to do and say?

Liar. He did much MUCH more than that. All of his legal challenges were denied
so he then tried to get a populous swing state to falsify it's election results.
When that failed, he tried to send illegal electors to Washington and when THAT
failed he fomented an insurrection intended to cow the Congress into keeping him
in power which *also* failed. Trump is a failure.

>Sure there were people who went overboard destroying property and so forth and they should be
>prosecuted but you simply cannot tie Trump

Liar again. It can ALL be tied directly to Trump and it will be when he's tried
next year.

> to any of that so stop parroting the MSM.

Any Republican accusation is, in fact, a confession.

>And BTW evidence comes out almost daily that the 2020 election was not honest.

Lying again. Everything 'new' that comes out is actually old stuff that's been
debunked or thrown out of court already.

>So assume that matters to you, how are you better off?

I live in a country that does not exist under a coup installed dictator.

And if you think America would be anything else had Trump succeeded in
overturning the election, you are gravely mistaken.

Surprising expectations

Liar. It's called a private political party selecting a candidate. Must I
remind you that primaries became the sole means of selecting Presidential
candidates only in 1972? There is no law that NOMINEES must be selected by
popular vote. The parties are free to select their nominees in any way they see
fit.

There are no complaints from the Democrat rank and file and not one delegate,
not even ONE cast a vote for any other candidate.

>And yes, you did lose your democracy.

No, you lost your dictator.

I get why red states support Trump. As a whole they're poor and undereducated.

Blue states are more affluent and generally better educated.

Several have done so in this very thread. But because you don't like their

So is depending upon our enemy to build solar panels and wind
generators for us.

We should be going nuclear.

The Dems are reaching to get their core constituency, blue collar workers, back.
We'll know in a few weeks if it worked.

Apparently they've been filled. With an unemployment rate of 4% and more
Americans working than ever before in our history, jobs are not a problem. So
why are you trying to make jobs a campaign issue in an economy with a shortage
of labor?

The manufacturing recession of 2019 was a harbinger of a deeper recession to
come in 2020. But the pandemic beat it to the punch.

No matter how you slice it, the Biden administration has presided over the
creation of no less than 9 million new jobs. Enough new jobs to push the
participation rate up.

I recall the rate made great hay about the participation rate in the wake of
Bush's Great Recession. Now that the rate is rising, they seem uninterested in
discussing it.

Don't blink

"DOE Report Shows Clean Energy Jobs Grew at More Than Twice the Rate of
Overall U.S. Employment"

<https://www.energy.gov/articles/doe-report-shows-clean-energy-jobs-grew-more-twice-rate-overall-us-employment>

FYI, before you try to pooh-pooh the raw number of job growth, do make
sure to keep it in context to your choice of comparison: the Keystone
pipeline. Its jobs creation numbers were vastly lower:

"In the report, the agency wrote that 10,400 estimated positions would
be for seasonal construction work lasting four to eight-month periods.
Since the State Department defines "job" as "one position that is filled
for 1 year," that would equate to approximately 3,900 jobs over a
two-year period."

<https://www.statesman.com/story/news/politics/politifact/2021/01/22/keystone-pipeline-jobs-lost-joe-biden-executive-order-cancel-fact-check/6673822002/>

FWIW, I think I read someplace years ago that the number of permanent
full time jobs from Keystone was something like fourteen (14).

Likewise, from 2019, there's twice as many 'green' jobs vs fossil fuels:

"...U.S. Energy & Employment Report lists 2.39 million jobs in clean
energy generation and energy efficiency versus 1.23 million – half as
many – in fossil energy production."

<https://citizensclimatelobby.org/blog/policy/how-clean-energy-creates-more-jobs/>

> According the Biden and Hillary as well, we should have
> programmers making 6 figure salaries all over the place.

Got cite for who made this claim when?

In any event, it doesn't sound too far off to me, as per US News's
reported median value of $97,800 back in 2022:

<https://money.usnews.com/careers/best-jobs/computer-programmer/salary>

I'm better off in the post-Trump era.

So just how specific do you want my specifics to be? I can say "lower
stress", but do I need to post my blood pressure scores to prove that?
Likewise, for fewer financial worries, our monthly budget? Or for an
improved net worth, is a percentage increase good enough, or do you want
exact balances with receipts and bank account numbers?

> The reason I ask is that I have not encountered a single person who can say YES and then tell me

>
> Maybe you can.

Done above, contingent on how unreasonable you try to set goalposts.
Naturally, you're insinuating that you're now worse off, so you'll need
to lead by example, with the level of specifics you're calling for
others to do, to avoid being a blatant hypocrite.

Yes, nuclear would be nice to see too, but its LCOE is very high, which
makes it economically non-competitive vs solar/wind/battery.

The latest numbers I've seen aren't accounting for more recent battery
cost declines, but it listed them as:

$155 for Nuclear
$41 Onshore Wind
$40 Solar Photovoltaic.

For general reference, Coal was $109.

Normalizing Nuclear as 1.00, that's

Coal: 0.70
Wind: 0.26
Solar: 0.26

TL;DR: you can have 4x more Wind/Solar capacity for the price of Nuclear.

This goes a long ways to paying for battery to bank power and level out
its lower supply availability...even before noting studies which have
concluded that it is (well, was - because of battery cost declines)
cheaper to overbuild and curtail generation than to have huge battery
power banking to bridge...IIRC, the report I read said "7x" effectively
eliminates the need for a huge battery - - think it was something like
reducing the battery capacity ~tenfold, from 96 hours to 10 hours.

You would not lie it if we competed on an even keel. Our control of the global
money supply gives us a tremendous advantage. So too does the vast size of our
consumer market. Piss us off and we won't trade food to you for the cheap
clothes you make. We'll feed someone else for *their* cheap clothing.

Make no mistake, our food exports are a national security weapon.

When Trump came in, China was not part of TPP. In fact, the trade agreement was
seen as a way of insulating the western hemisphere and PacRim from Chinese trade
dominance. Unfortunately, by leaving the agreement, China stepped into TPP and
it is now an anti America trade agreement. One more time Trump has screwed our
long term future for short term gain.

Arms are a very important export. The US provides as much as 40% of global
trade in arms. The U.S. accounts for more than 40% of the planet’s weapons
exports. $100 to $200 billion U.S. dollars are pocketed in arms sales each year,
and that number is gradually increasing year over year.

Once you've gutted our arms exports, explain to the People why you've added a
full point to the unemployment rate and bankrupted dozens of arms component
suppliers.

Then realize that the world is still buying the same amount of weapons, they're
just buying them from somebody else. Like China.

No, asshole. Trump isn't talking about "lowering inflation" — it's already low.

Trump is talking bullshit about lowering *prices*, aka *deflation*. He can't do

The Democrats tried to impose severe penalties on employers hiring illegals in
the 1986 bill but the Republicans, at the behest of the US Chamber of Commerce,
watered it down to no more than a slap on the wrist on the rare occasions the
law was enforced at all.

The Republicans have since shot down at least six attempts at border security
and immigration control including Trump's wall, two attempts by Biden to
increase border security and deportations and two recent bills shot down by the
Republican House including a bill of their own.

But keep voting Republican. Maybe in another thirty years they'll do for
immigration what they did for abortion.

Indeed.
At this point I'm not sure if the country can even be fixed. Biden/Harris have caused so much

Exactly.
I've replied to these questions many times already.
Trump's plans are solid and make sense.
Kamala Harris has no plan She talks platitudes and happy, happy, joy, joy word salad.
The one plan she did sort of announce, price controls, got lambasted by both the left and right
because it is ridiculous and dangerous.

She knows absolutely nothing about how the economy works and she, by being the deciding vote on the
inflation reduction act, among others, is a direct cause of inflation itself.

The libbys pretend they have an answer for everything but as usual they can't see the forest for
the trees.

None of this misery we are in started under Trump.

Example: Inflation the day Biden was inaugurated was 1.9% (CPI).
A year later under Biden / Harris it was 9.1%

No wars.
No 12 million or more illegal migrants.
No lost, unaccounted for 300,000 migrant children.
Low crime.
No cities falling apart fiscally and quality of life wise like NYC or SF.
The list is endless.

Life under Trump, COVID aside, was good.
Life under Biden/Harris is absolutely miserable.

And all of a sudden Harris claims she is going to fix the mess that she caused.
The last person in the room hasn't got a clue and the voters will not be fooled.

You know, guys, that my sig has a reference to the abortion decision.
