Actually Joe Biden did the opposite. He has always been slightly left of center which is what he
ran on. However once elected he went far left in fact extremely far left and the country has been
in a downward spiral ever since.

We do need candidates who are close to center because extremes are not good unless a crisis arises
and extreme decisions need to be made. Wars and mass invasion of our border are 2 examples.

Glenn Beck, of Fox News, told the lie about Newsweek sharing a story in 1975
about a coming ice age and presented it as if this was the mainstream
scientific view (2 Sept 2009).

There was a story about global cooling, but:

the article did not state the cause of cooling; it stated that "what causes
the onset of major and minor ice ages remains a mystery" and cited the NAS
conclusion that "not only are the basic scientific questions largely
unanswered, but in many cases we do not yet know enough to pose the key
questions."

Even if they story had made other claims, this would not suggest it was
supported by any scientific consensus. Fox lied.

As far as I know that is the origin of the lie. To say Fox did not exist when
Beck told that lie ON FOX NEWS is absurd.
