I live near Tampa Bay in Florida. In the 1970s, this area had 60 days
of 90 degree or above temperatures. In the 2010s, we get 120 days of 90
degrees or more.

Why is that? Will be 95 today.

Burning 100 million tons of fossil fuel every day for the past century
has some effect.

You and I won't be affected, but our grandchildren will when the oil
start drying up. Why not do some common sense planning now to make it
last longer?

It's no mystery. Research why Florida gets hit with Saharan dust from
storms in Africa and what it does overall.

Even Death Valley has weather changes. Humans and their observations are
mere specs of time in the grand scheme of weather.

Jets do put out a lot of BTUs.

There is BTU data for commerical jets available, but very little for the
military. Military consumption is much greater than commercial.

Assuming all conditions remained constant it would be accurate, but they
don't. It's all assumption and generally off by decades, hundreds, even
thousands of years.

Coal was an enabler for human development in terms of transportation,
heat, manufacturing, new energy sources etc. It's no longer a primary
source, but it has been confirmed to be used by cave men and the Romans.
Use has been declining for cleaner solutions.

Petroleum took coal's place among other energy solutions. None are
perfect and have waste / recycling problems when exhausted.

Solar is good but has manufacturing, capacity and storage issues. One
major volcanic episode or astroid strike could impact solar power for
years.

There is no one size fits all solution for obvious reasons.

Moons typically come from pieces of other things after an impact.

Hard to predict what they will be comprised of.

So has uncontrolled population increase.

It's too late for any grandchildren to see the impact of any changes
unless they live over a hundred years.

It takes between 60-80 years for a change to a primary energy source to
mature and be implemented. There will be plenty of missteps along the
way.
