True, but that does no mean we should do nothing.

Just watched 60 Minutes tonight. Wyoming, the largest coal supplier, it
putting up the largest wind farm.

Technology is advancing and we should be using it to reduce pollution
and secure our future.

I would like to see comparable data on that. There are thousands of
Civilian and commercial flights 24 hours a day. I watch a few F16's take
to the air every day. From that same Airstrip I see hundreds of takeoffs
of Commercial, Private and Business air.

Ignoring the fact that humans have dumped huge amounts of greenhouse
gases, causing the planet to warm more rapidly than ever in human history.

The oceans are getting most of that heat, which lessens the heat where
we live, but, hot water expands, raising ocean levels by several inches
some places in recent decades, and warmer water is amplifying the power
and moisture carried by storms.

If you can not describe how greenhouse gases warm the planet, your
denials of such effects are meaningless.

There was a thread on this some time back "Re: Oil is winning its war on
us", one poster provided some interesting info.

I'll contribute the dated links below for some general percentages and
charts.

Between those dates and now, the US military has embarked on fuel
changes because of toxic liabilities and costs.

Geologic time and epochs always trump human perceptions.

http://www.longrangeweather.com/climate_change.htm

Recently, John Coleman, the founder of the Weather Channel, stated that,
"manmade global warming is the GREATEST SCAM IN HISTORY!"

He went on to add, "I am amazed, appalled and highly offended by this
theory of global warming based on fraudulent science."

He said this, folks, not me. (But, I certainly agree with Dr. Coleman.)

Coleman’s climatological opinion has been recently supported by a top
observatory that has been measuring a rather dramatic decrease in
sunspot activity. These scientists are predicting that global
temperatures will drop by at least two degrees in the next 20 years.

Our friend, Robert Felix, author of "Not By Fire, But By Ice," believes
that this significant cool down could possibly be the start of at least
another "Little Ice Age," possibly a new GREAT ICE AGE, which is overdue
following 11,500 years of generally warmer than normal global temperatures.

This latest period of naturally-occurring warming peaked a decade ago in
1998. It was the strongest such cycle of warming since the days of Leif
Ericcson around 1,000 A.D. At the time, the mighty Vikings were actually
farming parts of Greenland growing wheat, vegetables and raising cattle.
They actually grew tomatoes and grapes!

Robert Felix gives this warning: "Living in the northern U.S. could
eventually be hazardous to your health!"

He goes on to say, "the next major ice age could begin any day...next
week, next month or next year." (Get that snowblower tuned-up.)

Felix believes that someday soon we’ll be "buried beneath nine stories
of ice and snow as the bitter climate of Greenland descends upon Canada,
Britain, Norway, Sweden, the U.S. and other northern regions ---
practically overnight."

It’s all part of a dependable, predictable, natural cycle of climate
that returns "like clockwork" every 11,500 years.

Complete and unmitigated BULLSHIT!

The planet had far higher (1,000-2,000ppm CO2) in the Jurassic - our
most green and fecund epoch.

You dolthead.

BULLSHITE!

That twat Granholm pushed the military into EV land, the fucking
ignorant cunt!

https://www.instituteforenergyresearch.org/climate-change/energy-secretary-granholms-perverse-and-dangerous-view-of-military-electrification/

Secretary of Energy Granholm believes the U.S. military can rely on
electricity to fuel its tanks and other military fighting equipment in
about a decade. And, of course, that electricity must be supplied by
politically correct resources—wind and solar power—that are
weather-dependent. Granholm testified before the Senate in support of a
plan to fully establish an all-electric vehicle fleet in the U.S.
military by the 2030s. Granholm, a former Michigan Democratic governor,
believes that reducing reliance on the “volatility of globally-traded
fossil fuels” is key. She claimed an EV military fleet would feel fewer
effects from the economic repercussions of events like the Russian
invasion of Ukraine. However, she ignores the facts that a
fully-electric military would be “expensive,” costing billions or more,
and would be inherently “unreliable.” Reliability of equipment is a
cornerstone of military readiness.

Just imagine a son or daughter in an EV military tank operated by
enormous and heavy batteries that go dead in the middle of battle with
no ability to be recharged quickly or at all, because the opposing side
is advancing with modern weapons fueled by petroleum as that country is
using the world’s resources to their most suited uses. Can you envision
Americans building charging stations behind enemy lines to make these EV
tanks usable? As this example shows, the Biden administration all in one
basket (electrification) mentality should make Americans cringe at the
sheer absurdity of it. As the Biden administration does all it can to
eliminate American energy independence under the guise of “clean”
renewable energy, it is creating a national security risk. Further, the
Biden administration’s green energy goals rely in many ways upon
Communist China—a potential enemy—as that country dominates the battery
supply chain and the supply chains of most critical minerals that
renewable energy and electric vehicles need. The “volatility of
globally-traded minerals” that are dominated by Chinese investments and
processing apparently has not occurred to Secretary Granholm.
