My personal favorite is individual.net, which is ten euros per year.
That's not free, but it is very close.

There are free servers out there that allow you to post, but they tend
to be used by people that I'd just as soon not associate with. I'd
rather spend a little and get what I consider a lot of bang for my buck.
Er, for my euro.

I've had an email request saying they read through google and have no isp
based nntp and wondered what people suggest as googles video capture has
defeated them on there.

I believe there are still some free nntp servers out there, so thought I'd
ask as they can read these groups but get frustrated at not being able to
post. I though Google had an audio version these days, but I have sympathy
with anyone attempting to use Googles crap interface. I would certainly n ot
use it!
