I had never witnessed or thought that a miracle had occurred in my life --
until last summer.

Whenever I am depressed or lonely or just have some amazing news to share, I
call my other half and best friend, Alisha Danielle Cameron. I have known her
for 13 years; we became inseparable starting from age 4 when we met at
preschool.

I know Alisha so well that it's almost scary. We were around each other so much
that we sounded exactly the same. She is my other half; when I look at her, I
see me. I consider her my twin. We finish sentences for each other and even
know exactly what the other person is trying to say by not saying one word at
all. She has always been there to listen, and never gets tired of me even when
I repeat the same thing to her 10 times a day.

On Monday, June 21, 2010, I thought it was just going to be a regular day. I
decided to call Alisha for a chat. She told me, "I just went to the doctor for
a bad headache and I need to lie down and take the medicine he gave me, I'll
call you later." So I hung up the phone and continued my day as usual.
