Do people ever share coping mechanisms here, for physical limitations ?

Like - work arounds for things you can no longer do - or do properly.

Rarely, unfortunately. But please do.

That's too bad.
I can't find any local groups of folks willing to share either.

Surely we must all have developed tricks to get by with what we're missing.

I'm a volunteer with our county health department and have been tempted
to put a pamphlet together with suggestions, but had hoped for a lot more
ideas to include.
Since the location of our 'damage' determines our losses, every person
needs hints specific to their particular limitations.

What I do to get by, might be no help to others with diverse losses.

Oh - my stroke was in the basil ganglia.

Would just like to compare frustrations with others coping - at
whatever level -
with physical limitations, doctors, physical therapists and the
impatient public.

My main gripe is frequent falling and difficulty getting vertical.
