There are some. A friend of mine and his Peruvian wife have worked there
for years. They like the money, but it's hard for her. She can't drive a
car outside of the compound where they live, and if her head covering
slips down in the supermarket, a member of the religious police will come
over and speak, not to her, but to her husband, saying "Is this yours?" as
if she were some object.

Speaking of the religious police, a couple of Spaniards in Riyadh were
accosted by a member of the religious police for something they had done.
Afterward, as they were walking away, they said something about "that
hijodeputa" or something like that. The religious police guy came right
back to them and spoke in perfect castellano, saying something like "eres
tĂș el hijodeputa," and said that if they weren't careful he would have
them arrested (which he had the power to do). It turned out that he was a
convert to Islam from Spain, more fanatic than the natives.

Judging by all the things my friends told me, I don't recommend it, but
some people will do anything for money. I have other friends who worked
there too, so I guess that includes a lot of my friends.
