People could come onto here and ask questions about the doability, of
certain practices in bdsm and get sensible answers from knowledgeable
people. Since then a lot of people have gone to forums, where to me at least
you are stuffed if the site dies, or data is leaked. On here no questions
about who you are would be asked and to be honest, unless you were an axe
murderer type who would care in any case, except the guardians of
respectability who have nothing better to do an judge others way of living.

Yeah, it is sad.

The newsgoups have been pretty much abandoned.
Facebook, Tick tok, twitter have plenty of traffic now.

But as we have seen, those places are on the whim of those who run them, and
can be controlled by the holier than though mood of governments.
You may have more luck with mastodon, since its not owned by anyone, but it
does look a bit of a faff to set up, choosing a incidence, signing up
correctly then finding an app that makes access easier.
I wonder actually how many News servers still exist and are not controlled
to no longer allow either unmoderated groups access or adult groups
altogether?
