Is there a historical narrative of the Apache Indian Wars that
provides a tactical level analysis of the various battles fought
between the US Army and the Apaches? Or has material published so far
on the Apache Indian wars only focused on the campaign level manuvers
of the two sides?

I did come across the book "The Apache Wars: An Illustrated History".
Has anyone reviewed this book?

Secondly, is there a historical work that covers the Apache conflicts
with the Mexican government during the 19th Century? It is my
impression that battles between the Mexicans and Apaches were much
larger, yet there seems to be very info on this aspect of the Apache
conflict.

Perhaps there is something written about this topic in Spanish...
