I don't like tight law environments. The usual culprits are the
government, unions and mobsters. 3z birth place is notorious for the
worst combination.

There was a year in my life when I did not want to deal with any complex
gig. Instead of telling the truth to people that offered gigs, I made
the stupid mistake and doubled my compensation. Being double over the
customary and reasonable attracts: desperado, criminals, unsavory
characters.

I took some gig in Mobster City. About 10 meters/yards from my desk
there was this obese Italian in a jogging suit, sporting gold chains and
doing computer entries. The "macaroni" looked exactly like people in
mobster movies. I did not talk to him ever and avoided eye contact.
From time to time Macaroni would go into a lunch room to stuff his
face.

One day some other guy came and asked about the whereabouts of Macaroni.
I replied that if he was talking about the description above, he is in
the lunch room and pointed the direction. I really did not think
anything about it.

At the end of the day real mobsters were waiting for me by my car. They
pointed to me that slandering is serious offense and if I don't get out
of town accidents might happen. I was really pissed off about the
location and company so they provided me with an easy way out.

I got to the hotel and called the owner of the place where the gig was
performed and gave him all the details. I said also that my fee did not
include fights with eggplant mobsters. To my surprise he said: "I
completely understand" and I did not incur any penalties. Yes I did
lose some money and learned my lesson.
