If I post more than one message in a day, I have to type in my username
every single message. And also it won't even let me type it in; I have
to click "post article" and get the "you must include a name or at least
an alias" message come up before it will let me type my name again. And
doing that causes my password to disappear, so I have to type my
password in again too.

Is this happening to other people also? It should not.

Do you block cookies? If you do not block them, try clearing all cookies
for the site (that will require you to log back in).

What is supposed to happen is that your username and password should
remain for hours (I don't recall how many), and you can't type over it,
but they should be there, visible.

When the timeout occurs, you you are not logged in, you can type a
username/password.

That's how it's supposed to work, anyway. It works that way for me (of
course, always works for the developer :)

Am I the only one for whom this works properly? Can anyone confirm that
it works as described above?

I've added some logging at www.novabbs.com to see if it's working, but
so far I only see that it is when I post. I'm continuing to log to see
what's happening.

According to my testing, and following the logs, it appears to be
working but I'll keep monitoring logs for a while.

I have just pushed this "fix" (hopefully) to 'devel'. Please let me know
if there are still issues.

The problem was failure to write cookies when posting. Php has
'setcookie', but if anything has already been sent, it won't work. These
cookies are written using javascript. I try to avoid javascript, but
rslight does contain some. If you don't allow js, you'll just need to
enter your username/pass each post, so posting still works.

I will still be monitoring the debug.log to see that it's working. BTW,
debug.log is just that, it's for random things I'm testing, so don't try
to always make sense of what is logged there, it makes sense to me :)
