Maybe you are! Did you explore here? https://developer.apple.com/forums/

I'm simply trying to confirm the validity of someone calling themselves,
a developer, but he can show only a single product to his name.

Please follow THIS thread:-

Thanks.

Yes - he HAS made mistakes!

Did you see my recent post containing a screenshot of his persona on
LinkedIn?
(That referred to open source' too).

I'm a potential paying customer.

I want to make sure that the product is not simply a scam to collect my
personal details. THAT information could then be used for nefarious
purposes.

Maybe he planned at one time to open it up. Does not matter. It is not open
source and you have no right to demand he make it so.

Irrelevant. I have paying customer. They have no right to know about my
personal or professional life.

So what makes you think you have any right to know ANYTHING about how personal
or professional life? No dodge this time.

If you do not want to buy his product then don't. Stop attacking him.

Personal attacks from those who troll show their own insecurity. They cannot use reason to show the message to be wrong so they try to feel somehow superior by attacking the messenger.

They cling to their attacks and ignore the message time and time again.

The more you push yourself the more mistakes you make. Also the more
successes. The most successful people make the most mistakes.

Then the old code still is. You can look at that. But I do not follow the app.
Don't really care about it.

Why the jump to products? But I have sold videos on DVD and online. And it has
been discussed before. Also have sold other products... some crafts I have
made, etc.

Personal choice. Not obligation.

That is fine. You are not obligated to buy his products. Just like my
customers are not obligated to buy my services.

What makes you see it as odd? I asked ChatGPT:

----------------------------------------------------------------------
The all-caps format in this type of legal agreement is a traditional approach
to emphasize sections that companies want to make especially noticeable, such
as liability disclaimers or warranty information. Before digital formatting
became standard, all caps was a simple way to ensure certain provisions caught
attention without more sophisticated ways to differentiate text. Now, it’s
simply carried forward as a convention, especially when it’s important that
users see and understand those parts—usually involving limitations on
liability, disclaimers, or critical terms.
