Does anyone have views and experience of Samsung laser printers on a Mac
(running Sierra), specifically the Samsung M2885FW?

My Canon inkjet Pixma MX885 has now decided to keep giving me the error
message 6C10. Several Google suggestions don't clear the problem, and
the one remaining suggestion is somehardware work that feels beyond me,
though it may not be too difficult in itself.

I had a Samsung 315 for a quite while, wireless version. It worked very
well for me - the only reason I've recently replaced is that eventually
some smearing started happening and I couldn't work out which bit
needed replacing, so I might have had to replace more than one piece
and that made repair uneconomical. But 'eventually' = 'after around
five years or so' I think.

Cheers,
Ian

What exactly are you asking? It seems to be supported on macOS. So have
you tried using it yet?

I thought "views" would indicate that I wanted to know if people found
that Samsung printers were good and easy to use. I was thinking of
buying one because of good reviews, but those reviews were for Windows.
Support for Mac OS does not necessarily mean that a manufacturer has
been good at updating their software to work with new versions of the
OS.

But I now think I will go for a Brother printer.
