When is a Thursday free-game give-away not a Thursday free-game
give-away? When it's not on Thursday, duh! It also helps that this
time the freebie is on GOG.

It's a top-down action-RPG with a fantasy setting. Not
a bad game, but honestly, there's nothing novel about
it either. It's a run-of-the-mill, solidly-made Diablo-
clone. But it's nothing more than that. The sort of game
you're happy to grab (and maybe even play) when free, but
-except for diehard fans of the genre- nothing you'd ever
actually PAY for.

Anther free game; hey, that's not a bad start to a weekend. Better
than a kick in the teeth (then again, most things are). You've got
slightly less than three days to add this game to your library, if
you're interested.

You gotta get up real early (or at least skip the afternoon nap) to
beat me to the free-game announcement!

It was included as part of a HumbleChoice selection back in 2020,
albeit on Steam. It's nice to have it DRM free, though. I mean, I
can't imagine there's anytime I'll be wanting to play it in the future
that I will NEED to worry about the DRM getting in the way... but I
like the philosophy and added it to the library just for that reason.

Yeah so I started it and it's... milquetoast at best. There are
some nice designs in there and the soundtrack is almost good. But
the game is quite plodding and predictable.
It's one of those games that make you really value the work good
level designers put into games, because the ones who worked on
this were mediocre. It's not bad. Just mediocre.
