I was full on into this game until suddenly it says my guy has a sword
and I need to get up and go swing it during night raids. And it's way
under-powered. Is there any way to machete out this weapon and make it
bite? Spear doesn't even throw, the only upgrade I saw.

I guess I'll skip the spear (no throwing) and advance the weapon through
the others. Spear is sad! It's the second level weapon but might as
well be left out.
