My Usenet provider has been a bit flakey, but we won't let that stop
us from posting these announcements. Although, it makes one wonder: if
I post about free games and nobody reads it, are the games really
free?
* Behind the Frame: The Finest Scenery
https://store.epicgames.com/en-US/p/behind-the-frame-the-finest-scenery
I doubt this one will attract a lot of takers; it's not
quite a walking sim, but it's close; a 'cozy' adventure
with simple puzzles and a relatively short run-time, that's
more focused on atmosphere and tone than gameplay. Even
I'm feeling a bit of ennui towards this one; while
undeniably gorgeous and made with passion, it's just a bit
too soft-focused and easeful for even me. If you can get
into the game, it's wonderful... but most of the time when
I play, I want something a bit more exciting.
You've got seven days to grab this one. You know that. I know you know
that. You know I know you know. What I don't know is why I feel the
need to keep reminding you. It's just something to do, I guess.

Well, I read your post at least so maybe you don't have to wonder now.
As for the game, I took it but it looked very uninteresting to me.

Mine was really quiet yesterday. Today had tons of new posts!

This game has good ratings. I took it even though I am 99% sure I won't play it! :P

"But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me." --2 Corinthians 12:9. Catch up hump day after a very slammy Tues. It had been a decade since this old ant was laid off from a FTE job. :( Beat Boston! :P

Yeah, Usenet seemed to be a bit constipated for the past few days.
Posts went in, but almost nothing was coming out.
But now we've got a flood of backlogged posts, all at once and in a
messy torrent that's better just flushed away than analyzed. ;-)
(I hear they applied they juiced the server with a "Post Retention
Update: New Enhancement" patch. That always seems to get things
flowing again, in my experience. ;-)
Sorry. I'll stop it with these shitty jokes.

Maybe the servers' rodents died and needed to be replaced.
