I have bought a used copy of bloodborne for my ps5, but have yet to play it;
apparently it's in a couple generations old condition. If you want to try
It on pc, there is now a viable option, if you're willing to pirat and play
with mods. the game file itself can be gotten by reading the yt comments
here

I keep seeing people posting really bad graphics bugs with it, but it's
tempting. Sadly I just bought it on the PS5 and my son's played it a
bit. I intend to get to it there, but if I can play it on PC (with
60fps instead of 30) I might do that instead. My saves are on the PS5
cloud though, and I think I'd rather pick up my arcane play from where I
left it and make my way to the DLCs.

Playstation emulation has always been remarkably good. PS1 and PS2 are
pretty much 'done'. While there are the odd emulation glitches that
will annoy purists, for most people its fine. If all you want to do is
play "Final Fantasy VII" or "Star Ocean" like you remember them, a PS1
or PS2 emulator will work just fine with you. I admit; most of the
time when I choose to play any of my Playstation library*, I'm using
an emulator rather than turning on the old hardware.

I haven't really followed through with PS3/4 emulation, largely
because my library isn't really large enough for it to matter yet and,
anyway, most of the games I'm interested in have gotten PC ports
already. Still, I've heard PS3 emulation is becoming remarkably
robust, with the majority of games being at least playable. That PS4
emulation is following suit surprises me not in the least (especially
since PCs and consoles are becoming increasingly similar under the
hood).

Other platforms don't seem to get quite the attention. XBox (original)
still is extremely poor; Xbox360 and XBone aren't even serious
consideration. Older platforms are (mostly) solved, but they've had a
lot more time to percolate, and there are still some odd gaps (3DO
emulation, for example, is in the 'works, but not very well' range).

All that said, I can't get too excited about this particular example.
Souls-likes were never really my bag. But I can admire the tech that
allows the possibility of running it on PC regardless of my feelings
for the actual game. ;-)

* surprising nobody, I have accumulated quite a collection of the
classic Playstation games over the years, buying them by the bagful
from the used-games section of stores years after the titles were
popular. I mean, how can I /not/ get a game if the store was selling
it 3 for a dollar? That would just be fiscally irresponsible of me!
