$ uname -a
Linux lm 6.9.4 #1 SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Wed Jun 12 08:04:30 PDT 2024 x86_64
x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Haven't tested it with games yet. Using the CUDA binary blob
driver from NVIDIA.

(Is there anybody else about that builds the latest stable kernel
as it is released?)

Is the Pope Catholic? Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha!

I don't think that you actually *build* the kernel because you
have not posted your kernel .config file which lists all of
the options that a builder would carefully select.

You likely just accept all the defaults, which means that your
kernel is quite sub-optimal.

So post your .config or it hasn't happened.

I used to do that, long ago. Haven't felt the need for a hot kernel lately.
This Asus/Ubuntu is still on 5.15.0-107-generic.

I used to, when I had laptop that needed a kernel patch. And then later
when I used kernels with Tux on Ice. But not in this decade any more.
