Indeed a contentious US election. It has now
invaded even the Linux groups.

Let's hope that things will go more back to

It'll be a clusterfsck for a long time.

Luckily, it makes it easy for me to read Usenet in slrn... see the usual
off-topic suspects in a thread.... "c" for clear.

Whoever wins the opposition will claim it was rigged and lawsuits will
follow and no one will ever believe that the other lot played fair.

"Some boys, playing near a pond, saw a number of frogs in the water, and
began to pelt them with stones. They killed several of them, when one of
the frogs, lifting his head out of the water, cried out: “Pray stop, my
boys; what is sport to you is death to us.”"

For boys substitute US and European politicians, for frogs substitute
Ukraine.

Lawsuits from both sides are already underway. Apparently mainly in
"battleground" states.

Just filter out the articles cross posted to the folklore or advocacy groups.
I've filtered out the advocacy cross posts for years, but only started
filtering out the folklore group last week.

I use leafnode to get/filter the articles.
