I just discovered that the DHCP server I’ve been using at home
<https://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2024/10/finally-upgrading-from-isc-dhcp-server-to-isc-kea-for-my-homelab/>
officially reached EOL two years ago, and has been replaced by a new
package, rewritten from the ground up, called Kea.

Seems the old code base was just getting too convoluted and creaky and
too hard to maintain. Of course there are tools to assist the migration
to the new way of doing things.
