Same here, I didn't even realize that the Thunderbird install I had was
a Snap. Its performance is no different than what I get with a .deb of
the same software. I haven't enabled Flatpak on this install mostly
because I don't see the point.

I can confirm that a fresh installation of Windows 11 will require you
to log in (or create) a Microsoft account. This then enables OneDrive by
default and synchronization of your personal files with the cloud. You
can uninstall OneDrive and disable the synchronization later, but your
personal files will remain in C:\Users\User\OneDrive which I find annoying.

Nice... sounds like a beautiful GDPR fine waiting to be imposed. Shall we
say 4% of their global revenue? ;)

The Thunderbird on the Ubuntu box isn't a snap. I must have used apt to
install it. I don't have it on the Fedora or Lubuntu boxes.

Neither on Ubuntu derivatives like Mint

As long as you don't filter out his name, he's rather easy to block. I
haven't seen his shit in a while because he is so predictable.

Well, mine is a default install and I can assure you that it is indeed a

I have to say that having used both Snap and Flatpak, I prefer the
former. It actually takes into consideration the theme elements I've
configured unlike Flatpak. In the end, it's the application that matters
and both allow me to install a functional program, but Snap seems to be
better.
