'The book “1984” is supposed to be a warning. Today’s leftists are using

George Orwell’s classic novel is set in a dystopian world where Big
Brother controls the population through information control and
surveillance. See if any of this sounds familiar.

“Doublethink means the power of holding two contradictory beliefs in
one’s mind simultaneously, and accepting both of them.”

During her career, especially when running for president in 2020, Kamala
Harris took a number of radical positions. She praised efforts to defund
the police. She once insinuated that Immigration and Customs Enforcement
was comparable to the KKK and suggested the agency should be rebuilt
“from scratch.” She wanted to decriminalize border crossings. She
co-sponsored the Green New Deal. She supported a mandatory gun buyback
program, eliminating private insurance and reparations. She was in favor
of banning fracking and plastic straws.

Those policies play great in San Francisco, but not in battleground
states. Not to worry. She’s flip-flopped on at least five major policy
positions since becoming the presumptive nominee.

Instead of exposing this duplicity, the national mainstream media is
participating in it.

“Harris is calibrating her policy pitch for going to battle with Trump,”
the Associated Press wrote about her reversals.

“If the Party could thrust its hand into the past and say of this or
that event, it never happened — that, surely, was more terrifying than
mere torture and death.”

The attempted assassination of Donald Trump happened just over three
weeks ago. The iconic photo of a bloodied Trump defiantly standing and
pumping his fist went viral. Outside of conservative sites and social
media accounts, it’s barely been seen since. The national media has
largely moved on, eager to fluff up Harris.

Less than two weeks ago, pro-Hamas rioters stormed Washington, D.C., to
protest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu speaking to Congress.
They tore down U.S. flags outside of Union Station and raised
Palestinian flags. They burned an American flag, vandalized monuments
and assaulted park police. Charges against some of the few people
arrested have already been dropped.

An easy prediction: You’ll hear less about these two stories than
Trump’s out-of-context “bloodbath” remark and Jan. 6. It’s like events
that would make Trump look heroic and hurt the left never happened.

“Every record has been destroyed or falsified, every book rewritten …”

You can see this happening in real time. Last week, I googled “Trump
rally.” The top result was “Kamala Harris rally in Atlanta.” The same
thing happened to Elon Musk and many others.

Recently, Meta AI refused to acknowledge that Trump was almost
assassinated. Meta is the parent company of Facebook. It inaccurately
labeled a fist-pumping photo of a bloodied Trump as “altered.” When
people used Google to search for information on Trump’s attempted
assassination, its auto-fill wouldn’t even suggest his name.

Both companies claim they weren’t trying to rig search results. Those
excuses would be more believable if almost all mistakes like these
didn’t go in the same direction.

“Don’t you see that the whole aim of Newspeak is to narrow the range of
thought? In the end, we shall make thoughtcrime literally impossible,
because there will be no words in which to express it.”

Illegal aliens are merely undocumented migrants. Men who claim to be
women are women. People voting for Donald Trump are a threat to
democracy. Ramming scissors into the skull of an 8-month-old preborn
baby and sucking her brains out is health care. Israel is the oppressor
for defending itself against genocidal terrorists. Diversity requires
ideological conformity.

PHOENIX –David Michael Hanson, 41, of Phoenix, was arrested on Wednesday
for making online threats against the President and Vice-President.
Hanson was charged by Federal criminal complaint on Tuesday with five
counts of Threats Against the President and Successors to the Presidency
and five counts of Interstate Communication of Threats.

The complaint alleges that in November and December of 2023, while
living in Arizona, Hanson used a social media platform to post threats
to murder the President and Vice President of the United States. On
November 19, 2023, Hanson posted online a series of threatening
statements including one that stated, “#joeAndKamala I’m asking you to
resign on Monday your alternative is death brutally murdered.” After the
U.S. Secret Service spoke to Hanson and warned him that it was a Federal
crime to post such threats, on December 23, 2023, Hanson posted another
series of similar threats aimed at the President and Vice-President.

Each count of Threats Against the President and Successors to the
Presidency carries a maximum sentence of five years in prison, a fine of
up to $250,000, and up to three years of supervised release. Each count
of Interstate Communication of Threats carries a maximum sentence of

letter, paper, writing, print, missive, or document containing any
threat to take the life of, to kidnap, or to inflict bodily harm upon
the President of the United States, the President-elect, the Vice
President or other officer next in the order of succession to the office
of President of the United States, or the Vice President-elect, or
knowingly and willfully otherwise makes any such threat against the
President, President-elect, Vice President or other officer next in the
order of succession to the office of President, or Vice President-elect,

Presidency; Threats Against Former Presidents; and Certain Other Secret
Service Protectees
The Counterterrorism Section of the National Security Division has
supervisory authority over 18 U.S.C. §§ 871 and 879 cases. As great
caution must be taken in matters relating to the security of the persons
protected by 18 U.S.C. § 871, United States Attorneys are encouraged to
consult with the Counterterrorism Section (CTS) of the National Security
Division when they have doubts on the prosecutive merit of a case. For
the same reason, dismissal of complaints under 18 U.S.C. § 871, when the
defendant is in custody under the Mental Incompetency Statutes (18
U.S.C. §§ 4244, 4246), requires approval from CTS. In other cases,
United States Attorneys must consult prior to dismissing a count
involving, or entering into any sentence commitment or other case
settlement involving a § 871 charge.

PHOENIX –David Michael Hanson, 41, of Phoenix, was arrested on Wednesday
for making online threats against the President and Vice-President.
Hanson was charged by Federal criminal complaint on Tuesday with five
counts of Threats Against the President and Successors to the Presidency
and five counts of Interstate Communication of Threats.

The complaint alleges that in November and December of 2023, while
living in Arizona, Hanson used a social media platform to post threats
to murder the President and Vice President of the United States. On
November 19, 2023, Hanson posted online a series of threatening
statements including one that stated, “#joeAndKamala I’m asking you to
resign on Monday your alternative is death brutally murdered.” After the
U.S. Secret Service spoke to Hanson and warned him that it was a Federal
crime to post such threats, on December 23, 2023, Hanson posted another
series of similar threats aimed at the President and Vice-President.

Each count of Threats Against the President and Successors to the
Presidency carries a maximum sentence of five years in prison, a fine of
up to $250,000, and up to three years of supervised release. Each count
of Interstate Communication of Threats carries a maximum sentence of
five years in prison, a fine of up to $250,000, and up to three years of
supervised release.

A complaint is simply a method by which a person is charged with
criminal activity and raises no inference of guilt. An individual is
presumed innocent until evidence is presented to a jury that establishes
guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.

The Senior Executive Service (SES)[1] is a position classification in
the United States federal civil service equivalent to general officer or
flag officer rank in the U.S. Armed Forces. It was created in 1979 when
the Civil Service Reform Act of 1978 went into effect under President
Jimmy Carter.[2]

Characteristics
According to the Office of Personnel Management, the SES was designed to
be a corps of executives selected for their leadership qualifications,
serving in key positions just below the top presidential appointees as a
link between them and the rest of the federal (civil service) workforce.
SES positions are considered to be above the GS-15 level of the General
Schedule, and below Level III of the Executive Schedule. Career members
of the SES ranks are eligible for the Presidential Rank Awards
program.[citation needed]

Up to 10% of SES positions can be filled as political appointments
rather than by career employees.[3] About half of the SES is designated
"Career Reserved", which can only be filled by career employees. The
other half is designated "General", which can be filled by either career
employees or political appointments as desired by the administration.
Due to the 10% limitation, most General positions are still filled by
career appointees.[4]

Senior level employees of several agencies are exempt from the SES but
have their own senior executive positions; these include the Federal
Bureau of Investigation, Central Intelligence Agency, Defense
Intelligence Agency, National Security Agency, Transportation Security
Administration, Federal Aviation Administration, Government
Accountability Office, Members of the Foreign Service, and government
corporations.

Adverse actions
SES career appointees have civil service protections; they may only be
fired or suspended for more than 14 days for misconduct, neglect of
duty, malfeasance, or failure to accept a directed reassignment or to
accompany a position in a transfer of function. These adverse actions
may be appealed to the Merit Systems Protection Board.[5]

An SES career appointee can also be reassigned within the SES, or from
the SES into a competitive service position, based on performance
ratings. A single unsatisfactory performance rating makes them eligible
for reassignment, though it is not mandatory. However, they must be
removed from the SES if they receive two unsatisfactory ratings in a
period of five consecutive years, or two less than fully successful
ratings within three consecutive years. Reassignments may not be
appealed to the Merit Systems Protection Board.[5]

SES career appointees in the United States Department of Veterans
Affairs have different procedures as a result of the Department of
Veterans Affairs Accountability and Whistleblower Protection Act of
2017. The Secretary of Veterans Affairs has discretion to suspend,
demote, remove, or take other actions against SES career appointees or
other high-level executives if the Secretary determines that the
individual’s misconduct or performance warrants such action, with
abbreviated notice and appeals rights.[5]

By contrast, noncareer and limited-term SES appointees are generally not
subject to removal protections and may be removed from the SES at any
time.[5]

Unlike the General Schedule (GS) grades, SES pay is determined at agency

The minimum pay level for the SES is set at 120 percent of the basic pay
for GS-15 Step 1 employees ($126,148 for 2018).[7] The maximum pay level
depends on whether or not the employing agency has a "certified" SES
performance appraisal system:[8]

If the agency has a certified system, the maximum pay is set at Level II
of the Executive Schedule ($203,700 for 2022).[9]
If the agency does not have a certified system, the maximum pay is set
at Level III of the Executive Schedule ($187,300 for 2022).[9]
Total aggregate pay is limited to the salary of the Vice President of
the United States ($261,400 for 2022).

Prior to 2004, the SES used a six-level system. It was replaced with the
current open band system on January 1, 2014
