That is stupid. No one mentions a slave cylinder in a car and thinks of
bringing back slavery. And let's not forget that just about every race
(yeah, I'm going to use "race" because the so-called "science" is bullshit
on this subject)... just about every race in the world were slavers and the
enslaved. To deny this fact shows either ignorance or myopia (or lying
hypocrisy).

Not the only one. There was also some guy claiming to be from an outfit
called the “Alexis De Tocqueville Institute”, who was going around trying
to find evidence that Linus Torvalds somehow copied Linux from AT&T Unix
or something, there was no way a lowly CS student could create an entire
OS kernel all on his own. He even tried to interview Andrew Tanenbaum at
one point. The Minix man pointed out that, not only did Torvalds achieve
such a thing, he was not the only one to create his own Unix workalike
from scratch.

Well, they can imagine that he plagiarized it or whatever, but it's
self-evidently not true, the code is there for everyone to see and
analyze, did they find it was copied from something else? BS. Linus
Torvalds is simply a fucking genius. That's the truth. He's the
mastermind of independent OS development, and his kernel has joined
with GNU, X, etc., to form a free platform, competitive in every
respect with M$ and Apple.

It really is something that they were so competing with Linux, at
first, as if it was some kind of threat to their existence. Only to
become involved in deploying it themselves, as time went on. The
frenzied period when Windows was rising in the industry made them
think they were the heart of computing, and somehow Linux was unfairly
challenging that because it was free. But I guess we let bygones be
bygones, now that you can run Linux within Win11. I can accept that,
but it doesn't magically make Win11 worth using, anyway, I'm
intelligent enough to handle Linux on its own.
