A "true" story...

A man is walking through the National Zoo in Washington, DC when he sees
a little girl leaning against a lion's cage. Suddenly, the lion grabs her
by the collar of her jacket and tries to pull her inside. Her parents
scream.

The man runs to the cage and hits the lion square on the nose.

Surprised the lion jumps back letting go of the girl. The man carries her
to her terrified parents, who thank him profusely.

A reporter, who has seen the whole thing, runs up to the man. “This was
the most amazing thing I've ever seen in my life."

The man replies, “It was nothing, really. The lion was behind bars. I
just saw the little kid in danger and acted instinctively.”

“Well, I'll make sure this doesn't go unnoticed. I'm a reporter and
tomorrow's paper will have this story on the front page. So, what do you
do for a living?”

"I'm a Marine on leave. I'm in Washington for a Trump rally."

The reporter leaves.

The following morning the man buys a paper to see if he has shown up in
it. On the front page:

“U.S. MARINE ASSAULTS AFRICAN IMMIGRANT & STEALS HIS LUNCH”

And THAT pretty much sums up the media's approach to the news these days!

That sounds about right, to be honest. Unless a person has whatever
mental illness is afflicting Chris Ahlstrom, they can't help but notice
how many lies they will be exposed to in the mainstream news.
