Using Gentoo overlay, the new Palemoon 33.2.0 was configured, compiled,
and installed in 18 fucking minutes.

That's 18 fucking minutes!

That's not bad for a full-fledged web browser. I barely had enough time
to take a piss. Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha!

There are some sites that palemoon can't fully display, but those sites are
designed by assholes for assholes. The worthy portion of the web is fully
accessible to palemoon.

How long does an average app take?

JS-heavy sites are annoying, but you do /sometimes/ have to use them :(

It depends.

Most require only a minute or two. But the big, bloated packages
take longer.

LibreOffice requires 40 minutes. GCC is about the same.

Chromium (not Chrome) or Firefox are rumored to require several
hours, but I don't use either of them.

That's the only reason that I keep Microslop machines. To access
banking and some on-line shopping (I don't shop in brick-mortar
stores anymore) I need to fire up Firefox on Microslop Winblows.
Whew! What an annoying experience compared to the dream of GNU/Linux.

But the problem is not GNU/Linux. The problem is those goddamned
fucking over-paid "developers" that cannot, or will not, adhere to universal
standards. They probably have marketing middle managers breathing
down their necks to always deliver the latest and greatest web
garbage.

The marketing middle manager in in the same intellectual league
as that mentally decrepit COLA habitant known as the DooFuS --
and that's bad!

Makes sense I suppose, having to compile everything yourself..
