Most here are despicable freeloading distro lackeys.

But for the technical elite that actually build and
are masters of their own distros, here is an essential
gcc compiler flag:

-mvzeroupper

Just in case the code will use AVX and then the same
or other code will use SSE, there is a performance penalty
because the upper bits of the registers need to be cleared.

The "-mvzeroupper" option instructs the compiler to issue
the VZEROUPPER instruction after an AVX function.

It might be only rarely needed but just include it and shut
the fuck up.

That's GNU/Linux power!

Try that on Microslop Winblows. You'll be met with blank
stares and gaping mouths.
