GNU GCC, the most critical piece of FOSS, and which is still headed by
Dr. Richard M. Stallman, has a new release: GCC-14.1.1

On Gentoo, the only Linux distro worth considering, here are the build
specs:

lto openmp (vanilla) zstd -ada -cet (-custom-cflags) -d -debug -default-stack-clash-protection

Notice how all that SECURITY BULLSHIT is completely removed
from my build. Only C++, Fortran, Link-Time-Optimization (LTO),
and OpenMP are allowed. The "vanilla" option specifies that no
patches (mostly security bullshit) are to be applied.

Don't you wish that you could do this with your distro, instead
of having all that security bullshit shoved down your lackey
throat?

Deep inside, I'm sure that you do. But since you are too stupid
to know how to resist there is absolutely no recourse for you
other than to submit.

The same applies to systemd.

Fortran Go Modula2 ObjectiveC/C++ and Rust?
