I did a cursory look thru some but saw no mention of Linux anywhere.

Everyone should eat their own dog food of course (except Linux
'advocates' - they shamelessly think they're exempt from the directive),
but MS just bought Blizzard 7 months ago, and they're letting the
company operate as it always has.

You think they should've immediately replaced every Linux server with
WinServer?

One thing's for certain: Blizzard got where they are via Windows gamers.

No argument there. However the backend isn't necessarily the same as the
clients. I would be curious what they, or some of the other net based
multi-user games use for their infrastructure. That's a lot of crap to
keep track off.

The really important games do fine on Linux:

That's the thing. Once those SSDs reach their TBW, even Linux won't make
them useful. Those laptops become paperweights unless you're a master at
soldering and can get the thing to run off of a new NVME you stuck in
there in some very inelegant way. There's no other way of looking at it:
as good as the MacBook Air M1 is, it's not viable as a long-term device.

I don't know about that. In my limited time playing games from within
Linux using Proton and Lutris, it does a very decent job. I've
encountered problems with Nobara's version of Lutris and I hated that I
couldn't sync my saved games, but they worked rather well.

I only tried a few titles but it worked well with Control (great game)
and Tiny Tina's Wonderlands. Every Shantae game I installed through GOG
on Lutris ran as it should, and I was able to complete Brotato in Linux
even though there is no official version for the OS.

Never heard of 'em. I bet SS13 doesn't work cuz of outdated IE7 and .NET
