One of my fave programs, and one which I use a lot, is colorpicker:

Very simple. Very straightforward. Only 14624 bytes (that's
"bytes" without a prefix).

An equivalent program on Microslop Winblows, or even that crap
GNOME/KDE, would be at least 150 megabytes.
