Next week I'll get another COVID booster.

They work.

At my place of employment I was talking to one of the
shop personnel who refused all vaccines. I was talking
to him face to face in close proximity. A day later
he was tested positive for COVID and was sick as a dog
for over a week.

I did not contract COVID.

Vaccines work.

I will get jabbed and jabbed again.

Me either. I never will get one. I think it's ironic when those who get flu
shots (and get the flu) complain about those who don't get flu shots and
don't get the flu. Should be telling them something, but it seems to go
right over their heads.

As you can see by the title of this thread, these people get unhinged when

The efficacy has never been great and the usual excuse is what they brewed
up that season didn't match the prevalent strain. That is, except for the
year when nobody got influenza because they all died of covid or

camp? And would the stay be lifelong or temporary? Wouldn't
it be better to use the army and the police, to raid houses
and flats and vaccinate everyone? I think that, depending on
the organisation, the population could be efficiently
vaccinated within a few weeks if you involved all doctors,
nurses, paramedics, veterinarians and other civilian workers
after a short training.

However, going back to your idea of a camp, there is
research suggesting that superspreaders (i.e. people who
produce massive amounts of aerosols) are older people and
those who are obese [1]. Age is beyond anyone's control - so
we could spare the elderly - but we could very carefully
round up everyone with a BMI over 25 and put them in camps
without food for a month or two to make them lose weight and
stop being a threat to public health.

winters in AZ, which meant periodic trips to either Tucson or Phoenix.
Trucking resulted in visits to most of the hellholes in the US. Even when
I went back to programming I had to go back to Boston and Harrisburg for
seminars, meaning hours in those flying petri dishes.

People at work came down with flu and with our generous medical leave
dragged themselves into work regardless.

Then somehow people you met closely didn't have kids going to schools.
Kids are the ones spreading it everywhere. They bring it home from
school, then parents take it to work places, then coworkers take it to
their homes, then their kids take it to other schools spreading it
among a whole bunch of other kids, and this cycle repeats until the
whole damn city is covered.

These germs don't go away. H1N1 still exists. It kills a few too every

Vaccination was successful in completely eradicating the
smallpox virus, but that's only because all human beings
were politely forced to get the vaccine. If too many
people had resisted then smallpox would still be a grave
threat among us.

Anti-vaxxers, therefore, are a definite danger to all of
us and to the future of society. We need to respond to
this danger with very vigorous means.
