In spite of many "improvements" to image compression, the JPEG format
remains dominant on the World Wide Web and elsewhere.

GNU.Linux users can enjoy the benefits of the FOSS utility libjpeg-turbo:

https://libjpeg-turbo.org/

This lib is the fastest renderer/processor in the universe!

Microslop Winblows users won't notice, however. They're much too busy
greasing their wheelchairs to ever notice.

Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha!

libjpeg-turbo 3.0.90
"Release Sponsors
This release was made possible via funding from MathWorks."

MathWorks makes MatLab.

The millions of Windows MatLab users (scientists, engineers, students)
might notice (but your claim that it's "the fastest" is probably bullshit).

I see MatLab is crippled on Linux - simulations and visualizations that
run on the Unreal 3D engine aren't available on Linux.
